“I just want to feel expansive joy again; I am tired of feeling it all” is what I said to a friend yesterday. This morning I received a video from December - me skipping towards a warm ocean, sun on my skin, mango in tow, and a glowing sparkle in my eyes. And I saw her, the little girl in me, who knows how to feel pure childlike giddy joy. I know she lives me in so carefree and is always available. Sometimes I just forget to give her room to breathe! And so, I accept that this season of Spring may be a time of integration and coming back to myself. And boy oh boy, am I excited to feel the expansive joy of summer when all that shedding and integrating gives that little smiling mango munching girl the room to hop, skip, and jump on the new path I have created for her.

Thank you to all the special humans that have featured in these moments of pure joy!

A project for @pangea_thetribe 🪭

Design for the ‘Shivaya’ Stage.

Concept: Inspired by the light and spaciousness of the Halo, and the connection to the universe through the crown. I was fixated by circular iconography and the way it can be used to frame and emphasise, yet remain so elegant. Made predominantly from foraged natural materials and invasive plant species. I often pass the same plants daily, and I wanted to find ways of using these common natural elements in beautiful and unique ways 🌾

‘Paraíso’ was born in a magical little canyon called Orange Kloof, in Cape Town. I felt called to create something with nature and in honour of the incredible sounds that have inspired us as humans for thousands of years and continue to stop me in awe, daily. The soundscape of natures beautiful sound creations were collected from all over the world, from The Whale trail, to the Brazilian Savannah and Amazon: Waterfalls, Txana (Japinî) birds, Toucans, frogs and more.

Alto Paraíso, meaning ‘Highland paradise’, a mountainous town in the Brazil became the soil for this song to bloom in. This is where I spent two months and made an incredible friend who gifted me this Kalimba which shaped how we could play and weave with the elements and animals. It became a meditative dance with the tranquility and excitement of her expressions and ultimately shaped a journey into each of your imaginations, to your paradise, wherever that may be 🦜🌿
