I spent years looking for a dream job—until I realized it was mine to create.

How fun and fantastical that the things I’ve been scared to do for years are now the very things I’m bursting with enthusiasm to do! This project feels like all the tributaries coursing through me converging into one river.

Part of the magic is not knowing where it will lead—I only know I must follow it, trusting each moment to reveal its purpose. I’m holding this spark with open hands, watching it burst into a flame. I’ll keep creating whimsical little corners for curious folk to discover and delight in, imbuing some vintage analog charm into this digital age, and leaving the people I meet and the spaces I inhabit a bit more enchanted.

This is the home that Gabrielle grew up in. They danced under the tree she used to climb, and gave a toast from their front steps.

We agreed “forever” won’t be a word we use during our engagement or marriage.

I know what you are thinking… but hear us out…

So many couples say forever, but we don’t use that word lightly. Of course we want to share a lifetime together but we aren’t willing to rush the promise for the sake of certainty that we can’t honestly claim.

We’re human, we evolve, we change, we grow. What we can promise is presence, choosing each other here and now, again and again. If that steady choice becomes “forever”, it will be because we lived it.

If you're wondering where I am or what I'm doing the next few weeks, I'll be binging on great films, celebrating creativity, while tuning out the chaos, gathering with friends, preparing good food together...

Because I still believe we have more in common than we do differences. 💞

And supremely grateful for a partner who gets and full embraces me and all my crazy...like when I propose jackhammering a sidewalk, taking over the front yard for a vegetable garden or putting a woodstove on the third floor (cause that's where it makes sense). So kudos to all those who have a person who gets them, whether it's a lover or a friend 💕

One of Jordan's superpowers has always been being able to fit in with any age group....

At family gatherings, at house parties, he's always found common ground with the little people, the adults/parents, and the grandparents, always being social, being curious and congenial....not to mention showing up for me...esp when I graduated from college the year after he did.

It's been amazing to see this super power develop into the basis of his success as an adult, creative and entrepreneur 💥🫶

Okay, I started this project of paying tribute to the one and only Jordan Royale Poole in honor of him turning 40, and we are winding down to the last few posts I will share.

As Jordan graduated from Temple University and embarked on making his mark in the world, I saw him less often, but when we did get together, it was almost always in celebration of his next milestone, his next accomplishment...

Moving from gigs to residency at places like Dusk in AC, competing in the Red Bull freestyle or appearing on MTV's Master of the mix, it was always one more rung up the ladder of this guy becoming the legendary @DJROYALE_

It's been a joy to watch this star rise in the sky....
