POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Celebrating 16 years of @harlempridenyc! Here’s to many more years of building community and sharing our stories. Our office honored one of the longtime sponsors and LGBTQ + Healthcare Advocates @ryanhealthnyc. Now more than ever is the time to uplift organizations providing life saving healthcare to our communities, especially our trans sisters and brothers.

We did it! My brother through another mother is running for U.S. Senate in Maryland. As a 20 year supporter of the Jawando’s I knew I had show my early support and bring our Hampton University family together for a NYC event! We are knocking on $20K post event and most of that was raised in one week! I am so excited for my sister Michelle and her husband Will Jawando. Pulling this together in the midst of a climate challenge was not easy but we did it!

Many thanks to our NYC host committee Nef KB Pross Calvin L Butts Jr. Stacey Gayle Chandra Cox James Rodges Powell Steven A. Chambers Amber Chenevert-Lindsey Rusdyn Lindsey Eboni Hill Kirk Willoughby-Hudson Lance Willoughby-Hudson Myles B. Caggins III Oscar Bedolla Tammi Bedolla Amy Mukula Hampton and our broader community including my uptown friends Elizabeth Lorris Ritter Hope Kaye who came to support..

« Oh Hampton we never can make thee a song, except as our lives do the singing. »

It was great to see a few of our board members in-person for the first time in over a year during our annual board retreat. Looking forward to a great program year.

Had a 24 hour technology detox and used a portion of the time to frame and rearrange a few pieces of art. Long overdue home project. Big thanks to #TheLaundromatProject for gifting me with this original print by Tatyana Fazlalizadeh upon the completion of my service as Chairman of their Board of Directors! It arrived yesterday and I had to immediately make a trip to Michaels for a frame. 🙏🏾

5BF Fellow @curtisdyoung decided to invest in his community by not only attending his community board meeting or leading a non-profit, but to work with neighbors in beautifying his block.
