Counter- (@counterclt) held onto its Michelin Star for the second year.

The Story of Mi Cariño (@micarinoclt) had a landmark evening — chef Hector Gonzalez-Mora took home the 2026 Michelin Young Chef Award, and the South End gastro-cantina was also named North Carolina's newest Bib Gourmand. Lang Van retained its Bib Gourmand for another year.

SPAGHETTI ALLA CHITARRA

Jamón Serrano • San Marzano • Pork Candy

@matt_moore704 said he wanted to do a fun spin on Amatriciana, and I said sweet let’s use Jamón Serrano. Then he said he wanted to hand cut the noodles with a chitarra, and I said have at it big dawg. So he did. Then he said he wanted to process fresh San Marzano tomatoes for the sauce, and I said ok, I like you but you’re crazy, and so he did. Added some of our sofrito to help fortify the sauce and here we have our take on amatriciana. Garnished with pork candy breadcrumbs, and of course chives.

Simple. Delicious. Not easy.

From our farm in Vilas to the dinner table in Charlotte! 🥩🍽️

What a night at Grey’s Diner! We had the pleasure of joining Chef Sam Diminich and Chef Andres Kaifer of @customshopclt for the second dinner in their Autumn Collaboration Series ❤️

Seeing our Shipley Farms Beef take center stage in a four-course, farm-to-table dinner was something special. And the chefs even put some of our farm-grown pumpkins and fresh herbs to work in the kitchen! 🌿🎃

We love seeing what talented Charlotte chefs create with ingredients from our little corner of the High Country.

A big thank you to @greysdinerclt, @cltfive, to @andres_kaifer and of course @chefsamdiminich for having us, and to everyone who came out to enjoy the evening!

Come along for a little behind-the-scenes look at dinner! 🎥

Tonight’s the night we celebrate Shipley Farms at Grey’s Diner! I’m excited to welcome my good friend Andres Kaifer of Customshop and Emmy Lou’s for an evening centered around great food, great ingredients, and the people behind them.

Great food starts with great ingredients, and we’re looking forward to sharing a special menu that celebrates the quality and hard work of our local producers.

We’re officially SOLD OUT! Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and will be joining us tonight. We’re grateful for the support and can’t wait to break bread together.

See you tonight at Grey’s! 🌱🍽️
