Beef shawties! @lanesbbq Sourbound mustard sauce as the binder, seasoned overnight with @duceswildbbq Texas blend! Into the @bbq_dripez tub and in fridge overnight. Topped off with that @lanesbbq Brisket rub. Threw em on the top rack of my @traegergrills Woodridge Pro at 225° with super smoke for 4 and half hours. Then bumped to 275° until probe tender! Loaded Carne Asada Sweet Potato Fries 🥩🍠🔥

The secret to juicy, flavorful carne asada? It’s ALL in the marinade! 🤫🍋‍🟩

I used fresh lime straight from my garden, and trust me, the combination of citrus, spices, and a little secret ingredient makes such a difference!

🥩 For the Carne Asada Marinade:

* Boneless beef chuck steak (from Costco)
* Juice of 1 whole lime 🍋‍🟩
* Juice of 1 whole orange 🍊
* ¼ cup soy sauce
* Olive oil
* Salt, to taste
* Ground cumin
* A small pinch of baking soda (my other secret ingredient! 🤫)

🍠 For the Loaded Fries:

* Sweet potato fries
* 1 red onion, sliced
* Shredded mozzarella cheese
* Guacamole
* Fresh arugula
* chimichurri sauce
* A little oil for cooking

👩🏻‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Marinate the steak: Combine lime juice, orange juice, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, cumin, and a small pinch of baking soda. Coat the steak well and refrigerate for 4 hours.
2. Cook the steak: Heat a little oil in a skillet and sauté the sliced red onion. Add the marinated steak and cook until browned and cooked to your liking.
3. Prepare the fries: Cook your sweet potato fries until golden and crispy.
4. Load them up: Arrange the fries on a serving plate, sprinkle with mozzarella, and melt the cheese.
5. Add the toppings: Layer the cooked carne asada and red onions over the fries. Finish with guacamole, fresh arugula, and a generous drizzle of chipotle sauce.

And that’s it! Crispy, cheesy, juicy, and packed with flavor. 🤤🔥

Hands off honey garlic chicken in the slow cooker 🍯 🧄
📌 SAVE FOR LATER

50g protein | 381 cal per serving

Ingredients (4 servings)
2 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
3-4 medium carrots cut in 1 inch chunks
1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
2.5 tbsp honey
2.5 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
6 cloves of garlic chopped
1 tsp oil
Salt & pepper to season
1 tbsp red pepper flakes for heat
1/2 cup water or bone broth

Steps:
1. Season the chicken with salt & pepper and sear 2-3 mins per side till brown (doesn’t have to cook all the way through)

2. Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic and red pepper flakes together

3. Remove the chicken, add carrots to the bottom of the pot, add the chicken back and deglaze the pot with the sauce

4. Stir and add 1/2 cup of water or bone broth, slow cook on HIGH for 2.5h or LOW for 5h. Thin out the sauce with more water when done if needed

5. Check the largest piece of chicken for easy shredding and no pink inside. Shred further if you like or leave the pieces like I did

6. Turn cook mode off, keep warm and add 2-3 tbsp of sugar free maple syrup to taste (it can turn bitter when cooked too long so save this for the end)
