A moment of silence before we cut the mid range, and drop the bass.

The djs dj, cuznmatt has spent more than 20 years behind the decks making musical mischief and generally fucking shit up. Through a lifetime of blatant shazamming, biting other peoples mixes and occasionally desecrating music with his own sacrilegious ideas, cuznmatt has kept the trainwrecks rolling 6 feet deep.

A death by a thousand discos is in order as cuznmatt continues to slay the night with a selection of broken beats to lay down a soundtrack of heavers for the last rites of disco.

Teaming up with Tahl for a b2b set set to summon breakbeat, electro, house and drum & bass’s most demonic of demons. At Requiem for a Disco, on this most hallowed of eves, cuznmatt is set to carpe the fuck out of those diems on the upstairs dFloor at My Aeon.

Cuznmatt has been dabbling in the dark arts of DJing and events since the early 2000s, setting the tone at Ace Morning, now My Aeon, with Cuznmatt and Friends Play Whatever the Fuck They Like.

More Bass came along in the 2000s, where Matt and his fucken mates continued their noble tradition of playing whatever the fuck they liked. Pretty much still are.
Hip-hop, breaks, disco, techno, sometimes even a bit of funk and soul, and the occasional dabble in drum & bass. Not much is off limits.

A regular fixture of Melbourne’s bar scene, Matt has held down an extensive list of residencies around town, including The Lame Duck, The Vic Bar and The Holy Grail, among many, many others. He’s supported the likes of Meat Katie and Stanton Warriors at Fractured parties, almost gone overboard on some boats, played Earthcore, and made regular appearances at Folk Rhythm and Life Festival.
Fast forward to 2024 and Matt co-founded Dive Bar Disco.

In 2026, he continues to pop up in bars all over town and has launched Loose Rave Unit, a party series with a distinctly grittier edge, digging deep into heavy old-school and new-school techno, acid house, electro and breaks.
'
At Loose Rave Unit 2.0, cuznmatt goes back-to-back once again with Pablo Disco, bringing a stack of filthy techno and breaks to the decks, spanning old school and new school, with acid running liberally through the mix. 🙂

Get ready to get schooled!

Melbourne-based DJ Marilyn Matrix draws on a rich background and training in performing arts, as well as years immersed in Berlin's unparalleled club scene.

This foundation fuels her ability to seamlessly blend diverse genres and deliver high-energy sets, all while deeply connecting with and responding to the crowd.

Inspired by the 90s and early 00’s rave scene, Marilyn blends dark, driving, and hypnotic shades of electronic music. Rooted in techno, but not confined, she moves fluidly through garage, acid, house, electro, breaks, minimal, hardgroove. Favouring raw, gritty textures, rolling basslines, and percussive depth, Marilyn melts past, present, and underground into a sound that feels both timeless and untamed

She has supported international artists such as Victor Ruiz, Oliver Huntemann, SLAM, Juliet Fox, Wehbba, Kolombo, Steve Bug, and Hannah Laing.

Marilyn Matrix is a resident DJ & Managed by
Eat the Beat. She can be found playing at renowned venues like Revolver Upstairs, New Guernica, One Six One, Storyville, Circus, Brown Alley, and Killing Time, to name a few.

Stoked to welcome Marilyn back to the Loose Rave Unit decks for another smashing session.
