Cuznmatt has been dabbling in the dark arts of DJing and events since the early 2000s, setting the tone at Ace Morning, now My Aeon, with Cuznmatt and Friends Play Whatever the Fuck They Like.

More Bass came along in the 2000s, where Matt and his fucken mates continued their noble tradition of playing whatever the fuck they liked. Pretty much still are.
Hip-hop, breaks, disco, techno, sometimes even a bit of funk and soul, and the occasional dabble in drum & bass. Not much is off limits.

A regular fixture of Melbourne’s bar scene, Matt has held down an extensive list of residencies around town, including The Lame Duck, The Vic Bar and The Holy Grail, among many, many others. He’s supported the likes of Meat Katie and Stanton Warriors at Fractured parties, almost gone overboard on some boats, played Earthcore, and made regular appearances at Folk Rhythm and Life Festival.
Fast forward to 2024 and Matt co-founded Dive Bar Disco.

In 2026, he continues to pop up in bars all over town and has launched Loose Rave Unit, a party series with a distinctly grittier edge, digging deep into heavy old-school and new-school techno, acid house, electro and breaks.

At Loose Rave Unit 2.0, cuznmatt goes back-to-back once again with Pablo Disco, bringing a stack of filthy techno and breaks to the decks, spanning old school and new school, with acid running liberally through the mix. 🙂

One of Melbourne’s true underground pioneers.

From the early warehouse era to today’s thriving rave scene, Lani G has spent decades shaping Australia’s electronic music culture as a DJ, producer and promoter.

Known for the legendary Ufp-Madasss warehouse parties, her sets are deep, driving and uncompromising, moving effortlessly through techno, house, trance, garage and hardcore.

Her journey has taken her from Melbourne warehouses to stages across Australia, Europe and Asia, with a DJ Mag cover feature and line-ups alongside underground legends including Phil Hartnoll (Orbital), Stacey Pullen, Paul Mac, HMC, Kiko, DJ ESP, Mike Dearborn, DJ Misjah and NightRaver.

She’s played Earthcore, Esoteric, Strawberry Fields, XE54, NDSM Amsterdam, Kyma Thailand and Shelter Patong, among many others.

As a producer, Lani released Hung Up in 2014 and reworked Emmanuel Top’s Turkish Bazar in 2018. Under her live alias LUX, she combines original production, spoken word and live vocals to blur the line between DJ set and live performance.

Decades of dancefloor knowledge. Fearless track selection. Zero compromise.

Lani G isn’t just part of Melbourne’s rave history — she’s still shaping its future.

After moving to Naarm / Melbourne in the early 2000s, cuznmatt quickly became known for his disarming grin and innate musical versatility, with a range encompassing original block party beats, hiphop, disco, UK garage, breaks and techno. He joined forces with fellow party fiends to establish Morebass at Ace Morning (later renamed My Aeon), and a couple of decades later teamed up with Emily (@alittle2the_left_ ). They co-founded Dive Bar Disco, which then spawned his most recent venture, Loose Rave Unit.

As a DJ, cuznmatt is capable of warming up the dfloor, setting it alight, or dialing the thermostat all the way up. His dynamic multi-genre sets are characterised by frequent shifts in direction and a finely honed skill for matching unexpected beats. cuznmatt has supported Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts and Meat Katie, and played regularly at Folk Rhythm & Life Festival, countless boat parties, Electrique, Adore, and Section 8. His residencies include The Holy Grail, Wonderland, The Vic Bar, The Lame Duck, and more.

On Aug 1st, cuznmatt summits the rave for upstairs dancefloor Le Deep Powder at Le Chalet Discothèque: Trois. Expect deep, dark rolling sub bass, subtle blends, sparse arrangements and jackin’ swinging grooves . . music made for serious sound systems in sweaty clandestine backrooms.
