At Theresa Delarosa Events, racism is not tolerated. Any behavior, language, or actions that promote racism, discrimination, hatred, or prejudice have no place here.

I believe all love is welcome here.🤍

Everyone deserves the opportunity to tell their story, showcase their love, and celebrate the heck out of it—without being made to feel unwelcome, judged, or less than because of who they are or where they come from.

Your wedding day should be a celebration of YOU your people, your culture, your story, and your love.

There is room for everyone at the table here.
Love is love. Your story matters. And everyone deserves to celebrate it. 🫶🏽

Let’s meet visionary creatives behind the performance art that will ascend in motion during “I’m Precious — A Grand Finale” event this Saturday. This is something you’ve never seen before and we are so thrilled to showcase these artists, designers and performers.

Meet Chandler Vaughn, @cvaughn03, is a tailor and custom clothing and costume designer. She began her sewing journey in high school and hasn’t stopped sewing since. She fell into the world of alterations and is very passionate about helping people with her sewing skills. Not all bodies are created equal and clothing shouldn’t be either. She finds there is so much to learn from taking things apart and putting them back together.

Alterations can be very challenging and require major problem solving skills that really come in handy when making garments from scratch. Her favorite garments to make are corsets and lingerie. The most recent lingerie collection she designed was inspired by vintage hankies!

They say it’s the people that make the place and we couldn’t agree more. Precious Frivolities started as a dream and creative vision from @aprilmaddenstudio — a place where artists, designers and creatives could sell their work in a community focused, curated shop — championing the unique, the handmade, and the one-of-a-kind. It’s the kind of place that brings the joie de vivre.

Our short-term lease is coming to a close at the end of September and we are celebrating with one last soirée! This is your last chance to experience Precious Frivolities at 1712 Main Street. Toast to our next chapter with us! 🥂

If you fell in love with Alana’s unique coat in Hallmark Channel’s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, we have great news: you can buy one ON SALE, exclusively at @preciousfrivolities on Saturday, September 12th from 12-6PM.

Enjoy light refreshments while you shop for all your unique and precious CHIEFS-inspired fan gear.

KC-based designer April Madden Aprilmaddenstudio brought together an Avengers-level squad of local pros to produce the coat worn by actress Hunter King, and now the coat is available to the wider public for purchase. Originally $1,587 /// ON SALE FOR $595.

Here’s how Madden explained the initial process:
    • The film’s costume designer, Keith Nielsen, @keith_costumes, dreamed up the initial design.
    • Madden stitched a prototype.
    • Designer Sarah Nelsen, @sarahnelsen, digitized and graded the pattern in sizes XS to 2XL.
    • Tailor Maret Miller, @kcsewop, cut the pieces and stitched the leather sleeves.
    • Madden assembled the wool pieces.
    • Tailor Chandler Vaughn, @cvaughn03, stitched the pieces together and added the lining.
    • Tailor Lucia’s Sarto, @lucias_sarto, hand-stitched the keyhole buttonholes.

Within that process are several intricate steps that go into making the limited edition Letterman Coat. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of history made right here in KANSAS CITY! ❤️🏈💛
