My friend @cw_call (age 40, lives in Arizona, chiropractor, mixed orientation marriage for ten years, divorced seven years ago, father of three, married his husband 18 months ago) joins us to share his super vulnerable and powerful story:

• Navigating gay pornography as a teenager and his attraction to men

• Terrified he might be attracted to men—did everything he could to not be gay

• Serving a mission in Nashville Tennessee—positive experience

• Became EFY counselor and got married within a year after his mission

• Super honest about struggling with sexual intimacy. That—plus male infertility—caused Cameron to feel absolutely defeated

• Eventually came out as gay to his wife (positive experience).

• Tried to make the marriage work—but eventually it became clear the best path was to end their marriage.

• Divorce became the “healthy option”

• Cameron’s incredible parents and siblings—their lifesaving love and support. Pride flag at parents’ home

• Finding his husband and getting married 18 months ago—so much joy and happiness

• While out of the Church, supporting kids in the Church

• Navigating anger at the Church—how his family, especially his mom, has been a safe person

• Good relationship overall with his ex-wife and her new husband. They took a family trip with their entire blended family - six coparents and ten children.

Thank you, Cameron, for coming on the podcast and sharing your story. This is one of the finest episodes to know there is hope and a life after divorce. It is also a super powerful episode on the near impossible path our gay/lesbian members walk and the tradeoffs they face that straight people don’t face.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, was the perfect place to getaway with some of our closest friends @cw_call and @tavitkazanjian We had an AMAZING time celebrating Cameron’s 40th bday.

It was a dream trip filled with breathtaking sunsets over the ocean, delicious food around every corner, plenty of sunshine, lots of speedos and incredible weather this time of year—warm days, ocean breezes, and beautiful skies. We embraced a slower pace that let us truly relax, reconnect, and simply enjoy being together.

Exploring hidden beaches, snorkeling in crystal-blue water, and sharing so many laughs and quiet moments made the trip unforgettable. One of the things we appreciated most was being able to relax, be ourselves, and feel safe and welcomed as LGBTQ individuals in such a vibrant and inclusive place.

So grateful for the memories, the adventures, the sunshine, and the beautiful people who made it all so special. Puerto Vallarta, we can’t wait to return!

Tom threw me the most EPIC 50th birthday party this weekend (with a TON of help from my kids)! 🥳 I can't remember the last time I had that much fun. The theme was 1980's and my friends' and family's costumes did not disappoint. I was blown away by how on point they were and their commitment to their spot-on 80's looks.

So much hair spray, so much neon! And the best damn music that's ever been made.

It's pretty uncomfortable for me to have that much focused attention 😅 but more than that ... I spent the whole night completely overwhelmed at the outpouring of love I received and how honored and humbled I felt to be included in such a stellar group of humans. What's more - that they love and care for me. All of my FAVORITE people in one place, some having traveled from out of state to be there. It was hard to wrap my head around, but I'm so SO grateful for my relationship with every single one of you. My heart is full to bursting.🥹🥰

For my people (those who could attend and those who couldn't make it): I LOVE being included among you, being your friend and having you as my chosen family. High vibe tribe forever! ✨

Thank you Tom and kids. I had the time of my life. I love you all so much. ♥️
