#ghostbusters #customprops Okay, I was able to order one of these lenses (toward the top of this unit) from @cworthdynamics and could could slot it into my Attenuator from Martin Bryce after gently making the socket in the panel larger. Looks fantastic and I can't wait to show @testedcom / @therealadamsavage at RICC in November. :)

And I didn't realize when ordering that you can dim or brighten the lens! So cool!

After months of meticulous armature machining, digital design and printing, miniature modeling, painting and rigging at Tippett Studio, the Battle Droids of Star Wars: the Mandalorian and Grogu were ready to animate. Animators @tomgibbonsart @webstercolcord @cdook and @halhickel and went to work and soon they were cranking out 7 to 8 whole frames per day. This was some of the most tedious and time-consuming animation I’ve ever witnessed. The puppets were lumbering and heavy, the movements often slow and subtle, and the rigging devices had to be anchored outside of the cave walls then come through a hole, attach to the puppet yet still be moveable and animatable.

The resulting sequence was astounding, and the fight between the droids and Mando, and Grogu (still grabbing wires and buttons he shouldn’t grab), was intense and visceral.

Many thanks to @ilmvfx, art director @doug_chiang and director @jonfavreau for executing this scene in stop motion and for bringing this wonderful and talented group together.

And thanks most of all to Phil Tippett, for lighting the way for this art form to go places it never thought it could go.

15 years ago today, @cworthdynamics and I decided we should definitely do this crazy thing as a team. Still pretty happy with that decision, tbh. Here's to another 15, My Love; best decision I ever made. A woman in a white dress being kissed like he means it by a man in a black suit, in front of a green garden

Super proud of my friend @cworthdynamics for his work in The Mandalorian and Grogu!! You get to see your own name on the screen, five feet long, and luminous!

The Mandalorian and Grogu. Working on a Star War, with this group of degenerate artists… what an honor.

Sorry if you missed me in the credits, they labeled us all “Digital Artists”. If by digital they mean fingers- then yeah, I used the heck outta my digits making that set model and helping on those robo puppets :)

Max Rebo (1983) and his creator @madphilg in the Java the Hutt Cantina at @ilmvfx . With @tippettstudio crew for Baby Grogu sneak peek screening. Don’t blink as credit goes by fast and it’s in the wrong place! At least the names are alphabetical 🤷🏼#givecreditwherecreditisdue

HasLab Ghost Trap Upgrade Series – Post 1

Swipe to see the first round of mods!
This batch features the Red Hat Lamp Shade and Frutto Trap Flat Switch & LED from CharlesworthDynamics, the “Battery box” Plate Aluminum from DragonWorkshop, and the Red light - Pedal Arcolectric Replacement Indicator from GhostLab42.

The lamp shade installation was super easy and coordinates perfectly with the aluminum battery box plate—it looks awesome and absolutely screen-accurate! For the pedal, I ultimately chose the Red light indicator by GhostLab42 instead of the pedal lens from CharlesworthDynamics, since it’s smaller and much more movie accurate.
Honestly, I’m so happy with these upgrades. Can’t wait to show what’s next!

More trap mods!
I finally picked up some trap mods from @cworthdynamics at @testedcom

The bar graph insert and replacement vinyl stripes for the trap! I think they look great and really add to the look I’m going for. I want my trap to look a bit more individual and less weathered than the stock 2 in the Box Trap.

I’m really impressed by these mods and I’m sure I’ll keep going with more!
