i had such a wonderful time last week visiting @setpixel's amazing castle in the woods. got to see @cxy and meet @noahkalina for the first time in person - we've been friends for years without actually meeting! Met a bunch of new friends too. Good times, all around. Charles was so nervous about us not having enough to talk about that he had us prepare presentations 😂. It was a fun way to get to know one another!

I could tell you about everything that is to come, but I’d rather show you. For those in New York and those willing to travel, I will see you soon xx. “Is It a Dream???” is a 12 hour loop performance embodying the themes of my next record. The eternal return of our lives as motifs destined to be repeated and revisited from new perspectives. 6 songs performed on loop in variation — full out live performance, improvisation, ambience and listening as the songs are deconstructed and reassembled in real time. I’m sure you have questions. I look forward to seeing you soon, xx. With special guest, @bronzevases Performance made possible by @houseofpaper.music, @cxy Produced by @somewherelse

This is a preview of track 17, "A Spinna & a Twister" from A.S. I Am - The Audio-biography of #AhmedSirour (Part Two), this time with full sound design and music score. Because this project is 30 tracks/stories deep, I've split the Bandcamp Listening Parties into 3 parts (10 tracks each), and tonight is Set 2 of 3. Some of you may remember that famous, freak storm with two rare tornados that hit New York City on September 16th, 2010. Well, one of them hit Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, and yours truly was in its direct path when I was staying at #DJSpinna's studio working on tracks for him, and I ended up having to fight this storm–an actual tornado–and the flash flood it sent into his basement studio to try to save a ton of records and valuable studio equipment (and myself by not get electrocuted in the process 😳). RSVP in the bio and come listen to this and other true stories from my life adventures! 😉 Executive producer: @cxy Interviewer: @marcelolimagroup Stormstopper/producer/sound design editor: @ahmedsirour

RSVP for the 2nd Bandcamp Listening Party for A.S. I Am – The Audio-biography of Ahmed Sirour (Part Two) [SET 2 of 3] We continue this Friday, October 16th at 7pm ET/4pm PT where we left off. This is an excerpt of track 10, from the 1st Listening Party, which is the story about having no idea I would get invited to the private afterparty of the Wynton Marsalis jazz concert I attended in Seattle in 2006, then had no idea I'd have a conversation with Laurence Fishburne in the restaurant parking lot, then had no idea I would get suckered into playing piano with Wynton & his band because his pianist I chatted with ditched me just as they were about to perform, and then another band, right after, persisted that I stay on the piano to play a song with them I didn't even know in front of these top musicians and me trying not to panic 😂 I put A LOT of effort into editing and sound design for this project, so if you actually and genuinely enjoy my work and are curious about my life stories and how I became the artist that I am, and you can spare an hour of your time to simply listen to all the work that went into this, then join in this Friday, and feel free to chat live with me and ask questions, share feedback, or just listen and enjoy! Thank you 😌🙏🏾 Executive producer: @cxy Interviewer/videographer: @marcelolimagroup Editor/producer/sound designer/subject: @ahmedsirour
