Jenny and Sergio’s Townhouse by Roy Grounds, 1959. One of three of the townhouses we visited thanks to Victoria Grounds. A speculative development by the architect-this groups of seven residences have been home to various interesting folks including Grounds himself, Romaldo Giurgola and some of the finest academics in the nation. A very special morning with @kitwarhurst and @cyclatecture

For many years we have been collaborating with artisans from multiple design disciplines. We love getting an insight into different ways of thinking and other unique creative processes. We learn so much from these relationships and get to express our creativity with different design approaches. This special collaboration with @ingoodcompany__ & @johnbastiras.design was for Flinders Residence. With soft curves to emulate the interiors, coastal views and scale in mind; the Amelia table was born. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #mimdesign #interiordesign #architecture #collaborate #australiandesign

TOP 10 AUSTRALIAN DESIGNERS Patrick Kennedy and Rachel Nolan . “In general the beauty and complexity of the natural world and the enormous scope for design inspiration it provides has been reinforced. We also remember the catastrophic bushfires that marked the start of the year. This has made us think about the role design can have in protecting and nurturing the earth and about the importance of knowing more about our country and its traditional owners – such a rich source of inspiration.” – Rachel Nolan . Together with their Melbourne studio @kennedy_nolan, architects Patrick Kennedy and Rachel Nolan approach residential design as an expression of landscape and context. Playful in form, colour and texture, their award-winning projects hone rational and utilitarian modernist design. . See Patrick Kennedy and Rachel Nolan inside our 'Best of est 2020 Top 10 Australian Designers' feature on estliving.com via the link in profile.  . Design @kennedy_nolan Photography @derek_swalwell . https://www.estliving.com/est-australian-designers-2020/
