This is where I go wrong:
in looking for you at night,
when it’s in the light of every day
that I keep seeing you.

"...turns a studio into a melodic and harmonic playground. Easily explore anything from unisons and simple melodies to dense note clusters, made-up scales and polytonal mayhem..."

The Tetrachords by @cycle_instruments is not just a sequencer. You make it what you want it to be - melodic or experimental, tactile & performative, deep or simple.

Need somewhere to plug your @whimsicalraps Just Friends? Let it push that relationship with Tetrachords to create a 6-voice poly synth using an i2c cable on the rear panel 🫂

Tetrachords is available at Brisbane's very own HylinDevices.

@gazwilliamsbass applying music theory to modular, really sold it to me ‘the tetrachords’ !

I haven’t tried one, but if I get this right, splitting the key into 2 tetrachords and manipulating each solely, and with this pivot modulation.. can u imagine all sort of scales and modes It can produce ? with some detuning, I can probably produce Indians scales ? 😱 is that right @cycle_instruments ?

Superbooth just wrapped in Berlin. For the show I designed “Little Reykjavík”, an exhibition space for 5 Icelandic music hardware and software makers. The temporary space was a tribute to Reykjavík record stores and the grassroots electronic music scene.

I recreated the atmosphere of these spaces through walls of real records, Icelandic electronic album artwork, downtown Reykjavík video scenes, risograph gig posters, and a communal listening area. Products from the guys were interconnected through a central mixer for collaborative performances and “silent disco-style” concerts throughout the show.

Check out the last image for a collage that served as a sketch for the space.

Thank you to Love Synthesizers, Genki Instruments, Cycle Instruments, Inorganic Audio and Atomic Analog for the opportunity.

And thanks to my creative collaborators for making this come to life!

🎚️𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐮𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 - 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐳 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬!

One of many live performances at the Little Reykjavík booth (W218 etc) at @superbooth_berlin ! Here in the corner of the shot (unfortunately not visible!)is @dj.flugvel_og_geimskip doing vocals, sent to our remote reverb chamber at @studiosiloiceland in East Iceland. You can hear the latency! Also on the jam going clockwise around the table is @cycle_instruments , @inorganic.audio , @lovesynthesizers , and @genkiinstruments ... All transmitted to the crowd via wireless headphones. We will be doing this every few hours...
