Nearly 25 team members came together in Cable and Hayward to celebrate our love of riding dirt in the Northwoods. I'm so proud of my team members who podiumed, PR'ed, and raced their best race this year. There are too many amazing people to mention on and my team AND other neighboring teams! Not to mention, this wasn't even an option for some riders at Cheq this year. There was a BIG crash early in the race on a section of pavement at ~20 mph, creating a cascade of jumbled cyclists. Myself and a few other team members are so lucky to have stayed upright despite being inches from that pile up🙏 God is good to us. Thank you Peter and Christina Spencer for hosting this epic event and thanks to ALL the volunteers and support who make the sufferfest as comfortable and fun as possible while we all attempt to push our physical limitations to the next level. I can't forget my amazing other half at home taking care of our little homies😍👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 @lifetimegrandprix thanks for bringing the heat to our backyard🔥 We'll see you at Big Sugar! @bigringflyers and @apexcyclingteam for for all the memories made this year on bikes🖤❤️ @maria_elizabeth_5 thanks for sharing miles with me out there. You are always a pleasure to race with GF- so strong! @chasethebiker you always have me prepared, even when I don't feel race ready or fully trained. @andersonsmaple for keeping me thick and full on race day😋 @berdspokes for the dynamite new set💥 @fluidhealthandfitness for spending time on the broken pieces of me🤕 @dgreske for playing fix it Felix for me @proteinhousehudson @wendyjostockerphotography @trilliumhillhoney @hedwheels @borahteamwear still looking🪰 @joleengutting for being our race support!

it’s been a great first 3 weeks of training for Ironman! —————————————————— Here’s some things i have learned while training: 1: never expect someone to slow down their pace to fit yours… it won’t happen. If someone does slow down, keep them around, they’re a good person to have in your corner. 2: Everything you do has a lesson. -I went on my first group ride with some of my new friends in a brand new bike club on Monday and absolutely loved it. On Thursday I went again but i didn’t know anyone there, the pace was too fast, i felt slow and alone and overwhelmed and i quit. Sitting alone on the side of the road crying taught me 2 things, a.) it is always okay to be overwhelmed and to take a minute to let it all out b.) quitting is never acceptable. If a situation doesn’t work out for you, that’s fine. you need to get back up and try again. After crying on the side of the road last night, i picked myself back up and rode another 20 miles on the trainer when i got home. i had committed to 25 miles and was going to finish them. 3. Everything you do is 90% mental. - the moment you feel like you want to quit, you’re put in a spot between mental and physical, you may feel like physically you can’t do it but mentally you have so much more to give. if you can get your pedals to go around just 1 more time or if you can get in that one last lap in the pool or run for just 30 more seconds, it will get easier. You can do it. - these three weeks have been the most educational and inspiring and difficult that i have had in a long time and i can’t wait to see how my life changes as i continue to train. special thanks to @cyclebee91 @chriswiswellathlete and of course Bradyn’s parents for being there for me every step of the way and helping me everyday!
