👀sneak peak of phase 1 of our expansion! 🥹 Today, our founder @cyrenromeo took a field trip to Kingston! 🌈 We met with our beneficiary for September’s regional pop-up Trans Joy Revolution to look through Rowan Woodwork! Then, we headed to Camp Kingston for some journaling, reflection, and a mean sandwich with dreams of potential Vendor Meet Ups there. Finally, we made our way to Unicorn Bar to look through their space for a Pride Pop Up in June! Phew, we are exhausted but SO GRATEFUL that our dream of expanding our little but mighty passion project of facilitating spaces of queer & gender expansive JOY is coming to life! Stay tuned for our beneficiary for our Pride Pop Up at Unicorn Bar in June, vendor calls, and the date for our September Regional Pop Up benefitting Trans Joy Revolution! 🏳️‍⚧️ We can’t wait to welcome our new community members from HV 🫂 Next Stop…📍Oneonta 2025 and then 📍Rochester in 2026! 🌈 Where will we go next?

One word for yesterday? 💜GRATITUDE🧡 Exactly a year to date, A Big Gay Market returned to @mountidapreservation for our Troy Pop Up Market! And, wow, has so much changed?! Swipe to see last year’s set up! This is a shout out to Michael & the whole team of volunteers at Mount Ida for transforming this church into an affirming, beautiful, and warm community space for ALL. Every single day queer and gender expansive folks are blamed for everything wrong in our country - when we are truly everything that is holy. We embody the spirit of humanity and liberation in our bones to our cellular structure. We know what it means to transform. Thank you, Mount Ida, for holding us in that truth 🫂 Yesterday was filled with tears, deep hugs, and lots of laughter with 400+ attendees strong of queer & gender expansive JOY! Thank you to every attendee to vendor who makes our community so beautiful and healing. You are SO loved! We are counting down the days to April 27th for our first A Big Gay Market of the year in Washington Park in Albany! 🌈 In Love & Liberation, Cyren 🫂

Well, that 🎁s up the 2024 A Big Gay Market calendar year! ✨ In 2022, this market and community passion project was just a little dream. Now, we are a full fledged community-centered business?! What?! We have you all to thank! In 2024, A Big Gay Market had… 🧡 4 larger community markets in Albany that featured over 120 queer & gender expansive makers, 3 kids tents sponsored by @refugetroy, 3 community areas w/ 20+ local nonprofits & community organizations, & over 6K attendees! 🩵 8 pop-up markets in Troy, Albany, Glens Falls, Saratoga Springs, and Ballston Spa that garnered over 5K attendees & benefitted 7 community organizations doing work to support LGBTQ+ communities! 💜 Curated our first gallery exhibit @context.collective.troy in Troy featuring 8 of our vendors, hosted our first line of workshops, and introduced community programming. 🧡 Introduced a mask only hour to ALL indoor events hosted in public spaces to mitigate COVID-19 risk & be able to welcome our immunocompromised communities safely. 🤍 Raised over $50K for Camp Unirondack’s Queer Youth Advocacy Retreat and our seven other beneficiaries across all our markets to date! What a WHIRLWIND! 🌈 We are so thankful and inspired by our community that keeps growing every year that we gather in queer & gender expansive joy 🫂 In 2025, despite the looming uncertainty, A Big Gay Market will never waiver in our mission. We will be expanding our community programming this year so look out for more vendor meet ups, community craft days, and our Queer Youth Creative Mentorship Program! See you in the New Year! 🌈 📸: @manon_productions_llc

the office lately 🥹 Never have I ever worked so hard, worn so many hats, and have been so fulfilled by what I do, who I’m doing it with, and who I get to be. While I’m a little worn from the past two month marathon of building a gallery and community space as well as my first “big” ceramic production, it’s truly a privilege and an honor. Thank you for the opportunity and your trust. Last day for guaranteed 12/24 delivery is tomorrow 12/10. Shop Victorian Troy ornaments, Zodiac mugs, Enchanted Forest Collection, Pipe Dreams, and tees on my site. Order online for Saturday 12/14 + 12/21 11-4 pick-up. Last min shoppers rejoice for our @abiggaymarket Little Gay Pop-Up Market at @context.collective.troy Saturday 12/21 11-3. Thanks for supporting this local pot dealer! She’s going to get some rest now 🩵
