As Thanksgiving passes by, I’ve been reflecting on how grateful I am to be a physio and how much I genuinely enjoy this profession.

I get asked a lot by clients, other rehab clinicians, business owners, and new grads what this profession is really like. Anyone who knows me knows I feel pretty lucky to say that I truly love what I do.

One of the interesting parts of physio is how much the day to day can vary. Workload, income, schedule, caseload, and career path can all look completely different depending on the person. I do believe there’s a sweet spot where you can earn a very livable wage, treat a sustainable number of clients, and still do meaningful work. That number looks different for everyone.

For me, the most important part of what we do has nothing to do with volume. It’s helping people understand their bodies, reminding them what they’re capable of, and giving them the confidence to work toward the things that matter to them.

Sometimes that’s sport. Sometimes it’s work. Sometimes it’s getting back to a hobby. Sometimes it’s simply moving through life without constantly thinking about pain.

The amount of time we get to spend with our clients is pretty unique in healthcare, and that gives us a real opportunity to make an impact. We get to be there through the wins, the setbacks, the frustrating days, and the big milestones. Through all of it, we get to be a steady guide in the process.

That’s a pretty special thing to be part of, and it’s something I don’t take for granted.

To my clients, thank you for trusting me to be part of that process. I’ll never take for granted the people I’ve met, the community I get to work with, or how much those relationships have shaped me too.

Very grateful for the profession, the people, and the privilege of doing this work.

13 years together, 2 years officially married.

It’s been a wild two years.

From local shows at @screamyeg and @badlandsmusicfest, to bucket list shows like @ultraeurope and @tomorrowland. From travelling across North America and Europe, to rescuing our garbage cat, running 21.1 km and buying a home together.

I couldn’t ask for a better partner in crime.

I love you lots.

#SeaWheeze 2026 was one for the books 🏃‍♂️🌊

Couldn’t be happier or more proud of @d.kovacic for finishing her FIRST half marathon.

Five months ago, she couldn’t run more than 3K straight. Since then, she’s put in the work, overcome a femoral neck stress fracture, and somehow still came within striking distance of a sub-2 half.

All I’ll say is… LETS GOOOOOOO!!! ❤️🔥

Shoutout to all the homies, photographed and not. The YYC running community took over YVR! You absolutely love to see it.

And a huge shoutout to the @myodetox clinical team for showing up as the official Recovery Zone partner with @lululemon. Had the pleasure of meeting sooo many cool people!
Running, community, and recovery. Couldn’t ask for a better pairing.

What a weekend.

See y’all in 2027 ✌️😜✌️
