POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The Ems just wrapped up a game-changing Sunday night virtual session with @d1mindray, focused on Mental Performance, Thoughts vs. Beliefs, and the 4 Keys to Hitting. 🧠⚾️

Ray did an incredible job walking our 12U squad through the Pillar Bs from his book: Believing. Breathing. Body. Battling.

The biggest takeaway? Expectations, pressure, and self-talk all start with the athlete. Our thoughts are something we can control.

Play free. Trust yourself. Have fun. Compete.

A great night of learning and another step forward for the Ems. 🌵⚾️💚 Thank you for your time, expertise, and coaching, Ray! #12UBaseball #D1MindElite #MentalPerformance #ArizonaBaseball

Thanks to @d1mindray for coming and speaking with our high school and college athletes today.

In this clip, he talks about how baseball has a way of speeding up on us. When we forget to pause, breathe, and reset, the moment can get away from us.

If you're serious about improving this summer, don't overlook the mental side of the game. Ray does an incredible job helping athletes build the mindset needed to perform at their best.

🎥 Full video will be out on YouTube soon.

@mentalhittingguy @d1mindray & @pitching_professor came to my kind first, and there are also many other great coaches teaching this stuff.

The important part to me is that the people teaching is aren't just talking, they are giving tools and customizing the tools to the individual, and that's something I do really well.

What tools do you know of that works well for your athlete?

Understanding Acceptance

Here’s @d1mindray talking to our athletes about acceptance.

You don’t have to like giving up runs or striking out — but you have to be able to accept it so you can move on.

If you can’t accept it, it lingers. Then it carries into the next pitch or at-bat, and that’s when you get in trouble.

✅ Accept it
✅ Keep your confidence
✅ Dominate the next one

It’s not about being perfect — it’s about responding.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT WEEK.
Finding my deficiencies and weaknesses in certain movements in terms of power, mobility, elasticity…

- Hit 140lb full hand and 100lb 2 finger grip strength (thru strength training and armored heat)
- Hit 40lbs on shoulder IR/ER and increase other movements by 10lbs (thru armored heat, strength training and load management)
- Fix my hips, rate of force, elasticity, strength in the upper body and overall speed in the lower/upper half in the weight room
- Clean up catch play habits and fix my low elbow while progressing in long toss/athletic catch then to the mound
- Add a new pitch in each week so I can take my time to hone in on each one
- Consistently work on command in everything I do when throwing and thru mental training

It was a privilege to have Ray Santiago, a renowned speaker, author, and mental performance coach, inspire 10/12U today. We believe the mental & psychological approaches of the player are as important as the physical intangibles. Such a huge impact was made on all players, coaches & parents who attended!! #gritcity #d1mindray #d1mindELITE ⚾️🔥
