If I can’t do it with my kid, there’s a good chance I’m not gonna do it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I think if we’re honest with ourselves, there’s a whole lot more that’s possible than what we let culture tell us about motherhood.

Organizing and directing the @oahupentathlon makes me question myself every year and I keep wondering if it’s compatible with being the type of mom that I want to be. As has always been the lesson, though, team work really does keep the dream alive and I love seeing my son thrive in this community that embraces adversity.

The hugest MAHALO to the team, friends, volunteers, adopt-a-mom, aunties and uncles that made the 2026 event the smoothest one yet and a special experience for our family. 🌺
