The exhibition, which also includes works by @inaashassociation and artists of @thesilaproject charts Palestinian embroidery across past, present, and future. AMIRA STUDIO × SAFIR Organized a private - by invitation only- art exhibition & Suhour featuring a group of artists from Syria 🇸🇾 and 🇦🇪 , with guest of honor artist Nujoom Al Ghanem. The event took place on Saturday, 21 February 2026 ❤️a non-profit community-driven initiative. From the opening of Sila, Al’Qala at the @realfabricatapices Her Hands, Her Land is installed on an 18th-century loom, the same loom once used to weave royal tapestries for the Royal Palace of Madrid. A tool once used to serve power and monarchy now holds stories of land, labor, and survival. Placed within this structure, the work brings together two traditions of making; Palestinian embroidery and Spanish tapestry. Threads shift in meaning, moving between ornament and testimony, between craft and continuity. The loom becomes a meeting point, where practices, separated by time and geography, come into relation. Embroidery appears not only as heritage, but as presence: held, repeated, and carried forward, where threads carry memory across time, and histories are not only preserved, but continuously reworked and reasserted.

Presented at « Sila, All That Is Left to You”, Maraya Art Center, September 2025-January 2026 « Between Loss and Survival” by Dahouk Chamsi Pacha , « An Intimate Reflection on Displacement : It is a sculptural installation that brings together ceramics, embroidery, metal, and fabric to explore the quiet, enduring weight of displacement. Composed of rolled rugs and an array of boukjas, the work evokes the intimate rituals of packing, carrying, and leaving. Each object functions not only as a vessel for belongings, but as a vessel for memory. The rugs, rolled and resting as if mid-journey, embroidered ribbons with patterns—faint geographies, fragments of domestic life, and stitched traces of absence. They appear ready to be lifted, yet also rooted with a quiet heaviness, as though they have been carried for too long. Scattered among them, the boukjas speak to what we choose to hold close: a quiet narrative of necessity and survival, of what we cling to when everything else is lost.The materials, often associated with opposing qualities—delicacy and durability—mirror the emotional contradictions of displacement: grief and resilience, uprooting and adaptation. The work asks: what remains when everything familiar is left behind, and how do we rebuild meaning from the fragments we carry with us? ». This work is currently exhibited @alqala_hilosdehistoria in the contemporary Sila section of Al Qala.

Presented at « Sila, All That Is Left to You”, Maraya Art Center, September 2025-January 2026 , is a collection of ceramic and embroidery works by @dahouk_creations « Threaded Whispers Of Dreams”: « Drawing inspiration from the prevalent embroidery method in Palestine, cross-stitching, the collection pays homage to the women who adorned traditional dresses, headpieces, and belts with these intricate designs. These women not only supported their families but also preserved their heritage for generations to come. Through this collection, I aim to capture the delicate essence of threads intertwined with the robust resilience of clay, embodying the spirit of these remarkable women. The collection consists of 48 ceramic pieces, a deliberate and symbolic number representing the Nakba of 1948—the mass displacement of Palestinians from their homeland. Each piece serves as a quiet testament to the memory, loss, and enduring strength of a people whose identity and culture continue to persevere through art and tradition. » Part of this work is currently exhibited @alqala_hilosdehistoria in the contemporary Sila section of Al Qala.
