POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As I step into a new year, I’m also stepping into a completely new chapter. I made the decision not to return to the classroom in January—and that choice didn’t come lightly. It came with prayer, reflection, and a deep understanding that seasons change… and so do we.

I’m endlessly grateful for every student I taught, every educator who poured into me, and every lesson that taught me just as much as I taught others. Teaching will always be a part of who I am, even as I make room for what’s next.

Here’s to honoring the chapter I’m closing—and walking boldly into the one ahead. 🖤

This past week was rough for so many reasons-mentally, emotionally, even spiritually. But this weekend? This weekend FILLED me. It reminded me of my calling, my
purpose, and the reason I do what I do. Sometimes, it’s easy to stray, to get caught up in the chaos of the world, to feel distant from the path God set before me. But every time I start to drift, He catches me. He covers me. He shows me grace, even when I don’t deserve it. I couldn’t be more grateful. 🤍

Grateful for the moments that realign me. For the people who pour into me. For the spirit that never lets me go. 🙏🏽

The first word that comes to my mind when describing my 2024 is ANGER! I’ve been so angry the past few months that it’s over shadowed all the good, love, and friendships that I’ve cultivated this year!

The year started off with the death of my family cat, Symone! She was one of my best friends and was almost 18 years old! But on my birthday, Aspen “Penny” came into my life and I truly believe she was sent to me by Symone! Eli and I became cat parents and then grandparents two months later when Penny gave birth to the Pride Kittens! All five were adopted (one by me) and are doing well!

I helped plan and celebrated my 10 year High School Reunion and reconnected with two very good friends who I’ve been hanging out with on a regular basis!

I started selling my crochet creations and I’m currently working on starting a business!

I’ve found community with my coworkers turned friends turned family and I love them very much!

I preform my poetry to an audience for the first time!!! I was so nervous but I felt amazing to share my inner thoughts with others! Head to my story to see a clip of it!

While the physical distance between Eli and I has increased, so has our love! We keep growing closer every day even though we don’t see each other as often!

My goal for this year was to nourish and grow my friendships and I think I’ve done a great job at it! Being around people is often difficult for me buuuuut I’m getting better at it and I’m loving it!

And it goes without saying that I’ve read/listened to ALOT of books…mostly queer and/or sapphic!

May 2025 bring forth new opportunities, more love, more friendships, more books, and my driver’s license(?)

It’s so easy to complain about all the things in life that are going wrong, but sometimes we just have to pause and be grateful for all the things that are still going right.

This weekend really put things into perspective for me. I was reminded me that I am currently standing in the midst of answered prayers, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities that are unfolding right in front of me. Every event, every conversation, and every moment in between has been a gentle reminder of how far I’ve come and how much more is still ahead.

Gratitude is so powerful, as it can shift our perspectives from what’s lacking to what’s abundance.

Truly, Lancaster owes me nothing! ✨

✨It feels like i’ve lived a lifetime in just ONE year. A lifetime of traveling, performing, and meeting some amazing and genuine people who have inspired me along this poetry journey. Each moment of vulnerability shared through my poetry has been met with such warmth and understanding, and I’m so grateful for the connections and opportunities i’ve made.

I’m appreciative of every DM, heartfelt message, and review I’ve received about “a library of ex-lovers”. The words of encouragement and feedback have been my biggest source of motivation, reminding me why I started writing in the first place. It’s the support and love from all of you that fuels my passion and keeps me creating and sharing my work – even when it’s the last thing I want to do.

I quit my job with no backup plan, just a clear vision of finishing this book. I trusted God and let everything else fall into place. It was a risk, but one that led me to this beautiful place of sharing my work with the world. I’ve sold copies not only in the U.S, but also in Jamaica, Canada, France, and Germany! This book is a reminder I owe Him everything!✨

A heartfelt THANK YOU and virtual hug to everyone who has supported me—whether you bought a copy, shared my work, or simply encouraged me. Your support has made the dream of 6th grade girl who loves to write a reality, and I am forever grateful. Here’s to more words, more journeys, and more cherished moments!🥂✨

‘a library of ex-lovers’ available on Amazon for 25% ❤️‍🩹
