We’ll happily plan a trip around good food, and Sylva, NC gave us plenty of reasons to come back. We found this little mountain town on our way home from Bryson City last year and returned for our birthday trip, this time with more time to eat, browse the bookstores, and enjoy the fall colors. About three hours from Charlotte. Save this for a mountain weekend, and please don’t skip Dalaya. I’m still thinking about that meal. #SylvaNC #NCMountains #CharlotteNC #VisitNC

Such a great time enjoying amazing food and community at the @ourglobaltableavl fundraiser event for @pisgahlegal hosted by @cooperativecoffeeshop Thanks to all the amazing cooks and guests and organizers, this event helped raise just shy of $6,000 for Pisgah Legal Services. Cuisine tastings were offered from over 20+ countries at this years event - too many to photograph before I devoured them (apparently) Shout out to the event organizers @gypsyqueencuisine @total_g @killaspro and @cooperativecoffeeshop and all the volunteers for bringing this years Global Table event to life, and special thanks to everyone who came out to support immigration services by @pisgahlegal 📷 @junglebranch

UPDATE 10-08* Roadless Rule comments are now closed BUT there is still time to help protect the nations Wetlands! Check link in bio We love these mountains! And we’re pretty sure many of you love them, too! Unfortunately, we have just a few hours left to share public comments against the proposed rescinding of the Roadless Rule. The 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule helps protect places we love from being destroyed by preventing things like commercial logging and road building. Over 44 million acres of public land in the U.S. are under threat. Places like Western North Carolina have already lost so much. Roughly 822,000 acres of forestland throughout 17 counties in WNC were damaged or destroyed by the impacts of Hurricane Helene. With roughly 144,000 acres of public land in WNC threatened by the potential loss of the Roadless Rule. Two years after Helene and WNC continues to heal and rebuild. Have we not lost enough? Dismantling the Roadless Rule doesn’t just impact land. About 400 endangered species of wildlife are at risk of a fast track to extinction and thousands more in danger. We must speak up to protect these lands, these mountains, these trees, these animals, these magical beings and places that cannot speak for themselves. We are in the final hours to speak up and help protect 44 million acres of public land across the Unites States. Public comments to speak out against the dismantling of the Roadless Rule ends TONIGHT 11:59pm EST Tuesday October 6th. Link in bio 📷 @junglebranch

One night, six courses, two kitchens that speak the same language. Chef Gun from @dalaya.thai brought Dalaya Thai’s bold, bright flavors into our kitchen, and the result was something neither of us could have made alone. Southern Thai spice met coastal seafood, course after course, from the first bite to the last. Thank you to Chef Gun for the amazing collaboration, owner and chef @ericfscheffer, to everyone on our team both FOH + BOH, and to everyone who joined us at the table. Nights like this are exactly why we love what we do. Missed this event? Don’t worry, our next Sunday Social, Baja Fish Tacos, is just around the corner.
