Figure drawing remains one of the few reliable antidotes to a distracted age. It asks you to set the phone aside and give your full attention to something rare: a real human being, present and unmediated, before you.

We spent the evening moving between poses, with breaks woven in between, and drifted into conversation about the great masters of the form.

Whether you arrive with your own supplies or let us provide them, whether you want a little instruction or prefer to dive straight into drawing from the model, there’s a place for you here.

Join us next time.

What an incredible night of figure drawing, creativity, and sharing of ideas!

We began with a discussion of the figure and a look through some books, then moved into quick poses before settling into longer, more sustained studies. The evening culminated in a two-person pose featuring our characters from The Taming of the Shrew.

Special thanks to @witches3productions for hosting this event and for posing for the class!

Please go see the production when it opens. We hope you’ll join us for the next drawing session.
