Two dates. Two churches. Two distinct evenings within sacred architecture. THU 23 — S:t Johannes kyrka Doors 18:30 On stage 19:00 Curfew 21:30 Entry with Full Festival Pass or Pass A (Thursday pass) Tickets at the door: 160:- No age restriction FRI 24 — S:t Pauli kyrka Doors 17:30 On stage 18:00 Curfew 19:00 Free entry for all No age restriction As evening settles over Malmö, Intonal moves beyond Inkonst and into spaces where sound carries differently — slower, further, with more room to unfold. — Juli Deák — The Breathing Project (Thu 23) Juli Deák focuses on the physical act of sound-making. Using flute and saxophone, she builds long tones through circular breathing, letting airflow, key sounds and voice remain present. The result is close and concentrated, shaped by endurance, detail and careful control. — Erik Klinga + Lyn Vokalensemble (Thu 23) World premiere Erik Klinga presents new work created together with Lyn Vokalensemble. His electroacoustic compositions move gradually, with textures that shift and return over time. Lyn’s vocal practice brings in elements of early music and Nordic traditions, blending with the electronic material in a shared, attentive space. — Damkapellet / Agnes Kofoed Christiansen — If Not Us (Fri 24) A performative work for Damkapellet, composed by Agnes Kofoed Christiansen. Developed with choreography, the piece moves between music and physical presence. It reflects on resistance, asking how individual and collective expression can coexist in times of conflict. — Thursday is ticketed. Friday is open to all.

INTONAL 2026 Artist Presentation: Damkapellet/Agnes Kofoed Christianson If Not Us is a performative work for acoustic instruments and performative musicians, composed for Damkapellet. In this piece, composer Agnes Kofoed Christianson explores the interwoven forms of interdisciplinary contemporary art music as an act of resistance, developed through a process-based collaboration with choreographer and dancer Maria Påhls and the ensemble. Created in a time of genocide and war, the work seeks to explore the true meaning of resistance. It draws inspiration from the energy of anger and the conflict in Peter Weiss’ play Marat/Sade, asking whether “revolution” and the “self” can share common ground - or if they are, by nature, irreconcilable. Damkapellet ensemble: Violin - Julija Morgan Viola - Tove Bagge Cello - Nicole Hogstrand Percussion - Irene Bianco Vocalist, composition, concept, costume - Agnes Kofoed Christianson Choreography - Maria Påhls Costume inspiration and consultation - Maja Svartåker and Ranin George Souliman The concert is produced by Lynx performance in collaboration with Intonal, St Pauli kyrka in Malmö and Musik i Syd. Supported by Kulturrådet, Malmö stad, Stockholm stad, Helge Ax:son Johnsons stiftelse, KODA. https://www.instagram.com/damkapellet https://www.instagram.com/agneskofoedchristianson https://www.instagram.com/mariapahls https://www.facebook.com/damkapellet https://www.facebook.com/agnes.christianson https://www.facebook.com/maria.pahls https://www.damkapellet.com https://www.agneskofoedchristianson.com https://www.mariapahls.com #intonal26 #intonal
