‘Lost’ is a publication designed to put analogue photography and editorial design into practice. It is an antidote to excessive digital editing, yet an invitation to do something revolutionary: to observe with your own eyes, rather than through a screen. Thinking with your hands is a compulsory subject, which is why we put them to work during these workshops.

In the ‘Sólidos’ workshop, we explored volume, awakening the sense of smell and practising handling natural ingredients, creating beautiful solid soaps ✨ In the printing workshop, we worked on colour and patience in equal measure. 🪄 Always leave room for magic.

Sebastien Zanella @sebzanella needs little introduction: his work speaks for itself. It was a real treat to learn about his background and influences – it’s not every day that Spinoza, Björk, Camus, Picasso or Cézanne, amongst others, pop in here. Lots of questions, lots of anecdotes and lots to learn.

Sebastien, as always, thank you so much for the poetry ❤️‍🔥

20 creative minds from all over the world came together in Lanzarote to develop a project combining analogue photography and editorial design. This project was carried out by the students on the Master’s in Art Direction and New Narratives @damn.madnn from @elisava.school and has resulted in the new magazine ‘Lost’.

Storytelling, art direction, photography, graphic design, costume design and many other creative disciplines in a new publication. It’s been a challenge and such a big pleasure to welcome this amazing team once again.

We’ll be showing you more soon. ✨😎

📔 Students in the Master in Art Direction and New Narratives (@damn.madnn @comelisava) have designed the art direction for the new edition of the MADNN Magazine, titled LOST.

The Master in Art Direction and New Narratives planned a trip to Lanzarote as a starting point for developing the art direction for an editorial publication. The value of the project not only lies in the final result, but in the entire process: constructing a narrative, editing, selecting, sequencing images, and making decisions that create a coherent and meaningful story.

A distance sharpens as we remain present but do not participate.

We speak without a voice,
act without truly acting,
moving through forms that
no longer feel entirely our own.
Identity loosens gradually,
shaped by repetition and quiet
pressure, until the reflection turns familiar yet foreign.

Blurry. Distorted.
We search for a sense
of wholeness that keeps
slipping away, present,
but not our own.

We move.
Not with urgency, not with intention—but because we are supposed to.
The structures around us function seamlessly.

Everything works.
Everything repeats.
And yet, something feels off.

From the outside, nothing appears broken.
But within that continuity, a distance begins to form.

At first subtle.
Almost unnoticeable.
A slight separation between where we are and how we feel. Between what we do and what it means.

Alienation seeps inward, takes root deep within, internal structures begin to shift and coherence gives way to distance.

Fragments. Archetypes.
The Self
The Shadow
The Persona

Echoes of the same psyche that no longer speaks with a single voice.Three forces that never fully align, yet always coexist.
