A combination of a blue cheesecake, a pinch of commonsense, way too much cynicism, and a hot potato - a science experiment gone badly, madly right

Another one for Dani. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to learn this step. I usually pick up foot patterns quite quickly but this one has been elusive argh.
I should also be staying on the spot for this one too. Watching these videos is not torture at all 🫣

So, just for @dan.illusion. Escovinha practice with saida. The idea is to do everything on the same spot. Doing in sneakers first as I having training is heels tonight. Still a long way to go but I'm improving.

Little Sesame had a traumatic experience last night. There's a big fluffy orange cat (aka Chonk) in our neighbourhood that has a beef with her and chases after her now. She runs back inside every time Chonk turns up and wait till it's safe. Last night we were out late, but the kitties weren't home yet so we left the door only opening one way, for them to come back in.

This time the Chonk had chased Sesame all the way in to the house, and had obviously gotten trapped. We came home to the shock of seeing a different Orange cat to our Ginger peering through the perspex cat door trying to leave! We came in and the chonk ran away (eventually,
after some more drama). Little sister was terrified hiding under the couch and our sweet brave little ginger boy was sitting on the stairs blocking the Chonk (about 2x his size) from going upstairs chasing after sister.

For his bravery he got extra treats last night and will now be known as Lord Ginger of the star case.

This morning he continued to comfort sister.

How it started: Ginger on Zoom mode, coming back after getting drenched outside, flopping on the floor and deciding to attack the towel we we're trying to dry him with.

Then he got tired and became a little angel between mummy's feet. Then he got a bit jealous because sister was also getting attention.

How it's going: sleeping like a log. Hard life being a Ginger Cat!

Atelier Luyi don't just make clothes. We've been upcycling vintage Japanese obi (belts worn with Kimonos) into Kendo and Iaido sword bags to support Auckland Iaido Club, and everyday use accessory bags. Each bag is $50 (it might be a bit more if you need them customised). DM us today or contact us via www.atelier-luyi.com!

Please note the obi we use are all unique, so this is limited range. Also, being vintage, they may have some minor imperfections, blemishes, or wear.
