To say that I am going to miss this crew would be an immense understatement!! Most of these students have been working with me since I started this job and now they are all grown up, graduated, and on to amazing things! I will miss their spunky attitudes, perpetual lateness (ok ok not all of you), obsession with photography, Starbucks/dunkin days, crazy Spotify playlists, ability to fix almost anything, relationship gossip and questions, and creative spirit. I will miss having them around ALL THE TIME (😂), calling me “mom”, and asking for things like tape, advil, or help with a project…Congrats to you all, I am glad you found a home here in the photo cage (and darkroom!) ✨📸💖 Best of luck with all things coming your way next! #whatacrew #photocageemployees #graduated #ontothenext #dontforgetus #photocagerforlife @sydneyjcohn @taylorbeingtaylor @luca_varano @thatsowdenkid @carter.jh_ @dan__elia @yuting9g @jesse.calderon #claradelgado #annaclark

After a beautiful weekend full of celebrations I sit back full of gratitude and wish to thank all my friends, family and supporters for attending the opening night for When I Get Home.🏡

It’s been 9 months of creating a new body of work for this exhibition and to everyone involved I am so grateful. A special thank you to my partner Brandon and dear friend @dan__elia for assisting me on set with these self portraits. thank you to @artxbyxsav with helping me create the cushion for the installation + for your love and guidance throughout this program. thank you to @savonnara401 for printing the piece for my statement and teaching me how to screen print too. thank you to Jose, Eric, Laura, Janelle and everyone at @waterfireartscenter who helped me bring this installation to life. thank you to the best coordinator we could ask for @grechelrosado for always being there no matter what. thank you to everyone in my cohort @waterfire.accelerate for creating a beautiful space together, we did it ya’ll. And I couldn’t do it without any of you. I am forever grateful.💐

From @dan__elia: “Swimming in My Head" is part of a self-portrait series meant to represent overthinking, isolation and overwhelmingness. I'm swimming in my head though, not drowning in it; despite the suffocating thoughts I'm at least still trying."
