September’s Gravel Social... meeting @fikabarntgreen it was one of those mornings where the sun was shining, but there was a chill in the air. A mix of regular faces and first timers, but the coffee was flowing and everyone got chatting. 🤗

The planned route was around 30 miles, and took us out to @bakerybrunos in Studley for mid ride refuelling via a mix of bridleways, back roads, cycle lanes and tow paths, before returning back via Arrow Valley park. #FunOnTwoWheels

As the temperature rose and the group cruised along chatting. Dan offered anyone who could ride a particularly tricky section of bridleway without putting a foot down, a cake of their choice at the mid-ride stop. This section included a bottom bracket deep ditch on one side and a bumpy off camber bank on the other. His money was safe though, as no one managed to get through it cleanly despite some great efforts and lots of laughing.

Great ride, a few more miles in the bag, some trails shared and new riding buddies made 🚲🤙

Looking forward to the next one - last Saturday of the month SAVE THE DATE!

Big shout out to this months ride host @dan_c_phillips 🫡

📣 Gravel Social Ride - NOW LIVE

✨ Saturday 26th September 2026
📍 Meeting at @fikabarntgreen
🚲 Approx 30mile round trip, mixed terrain
🍰 Mid ride pit stop @bakerybrunos

The ride this month will be hosted by Dan. Expect a superbly planned route with his local route knowledge and the usual fun on two wheels, heading out on some local lanes and bridleyways, a perfect Saturday of bikes and bakes. 😋

For chunkier tyres and people comfortable riding off road on mixed terrain. We will ride at a relaxed party pace, however a good level of fitness will be required.

We aim to ride together and will re-group at top of hills or bottom of technical/muddy sections. Lycra not required, wear what you are comfortable in, expect lots of chatting, stopping for photos or snacks + lots of smiles.

One of the rarest sights in Britain. No, not the 32" wheel bike but the phone box with an actual working telephone in it!

Ignore the fact we blocked access to it and thus emergency calls 🤦

**Summer 2025** What a whirlwind but it's been one hell of a ride and memories have been made! Been a bit quiet on here so thought it was time for a round up 🚲😜👇

MAY
✨Gravel ‘Nearly Wild’ Camp Out - Worcestershire. A mini bikepacking overnighter, adventuring from home sharing some of the best local trails with the best squad. Waking up in the morning and riding for coffee & breakfast - we had us a time!

✨Coffee Outside Shenanigans were a vibe!

THE DAY JOB
✨It's been a crazy busy summer @ecobirmingham but I’ve loved every second and super grateful to be able to share the joy of riding bikes. We have provided free community cycling activities as part of @wearecyclinguk's #BigBikeRevival teaching people to ride, confidence building & cycling skills sessions, weekly group rides plus cycling events for all abilities - Still lots of stuff going on in September if you want to get involved.

BIKE BREAKFAST CLUB
✨We are still going strong making the commute count with early morning coffee socials every Wednesday. Mornings by bike are by far THE BEST start to the day. Good vibes & bike chat for the win!

JUNE
✨ @thebristolrally 2025 - The squad headed out to Bristol for a bikepacking adventure, 200miles & 3,500metres of climbing. Unfortunately I had to drop out but the Squad brought the usual good vibes & happy energy to the event. All great adventures are best shared & together they smashed it. Shout out to @clairesharpe for an epic event, hopefully I’ll get to join next year!

✨MTB trails with the RADEST women & most awesome little people #GirlSquad 🫶

JULY
✨Our annual Ice Cream Gravel Ride - sunshine, smiles, ice-cream... Here for it!!

✨A solo adventure in-between the madness, weekend exploring The Forest of Dean & Wye Valley. I headed for Symonds Yat. Big views & the even bigger ice-creams were an absolute treat. A much needed break & time in nature to reset.

AUGUST
✨Scotland C2C - A pleasure to help guide for @zerocarbonadventures with Conor. 200miles Ayr > Dunbar. An epic route, big hills & absolutely stunning scenery, relentless (proper wet) rain, sunshine & rainbows. What a squad!💪

SEPTEMBER -- LETS GO!!

See ya out there
