Had so much fun this weekend attending @brutusmonroe Create Your Own Ending Event. I got to teach for a bit as well as help with the filming and A/V! I also had the best time meeting and hanging out with @danatatar @sglass1908 and @manleymademinute! Great crafty weekend!

Over the past year I was fortunate to be part of the Art Journal Swap Extravaganza hosted by the amazing Tina Walker @adogslife13
Each artist began with our own journals then circulated them around the United States among 11 different artists. Every journal had a unique feel to it, and each artist added a beautiful spread in their own style before passing it along
I made my oversized horizontal journal with 12 different signatures, as well as an index then hand bound it and added a silk sari closure
One of my favorite aspects of the completed journal is the index tags! I LOVE how each one is so unique and corresponds to the respective spread. What a beautiful introduction!
I apologize for the long video but I wanted to capture each page of art in its entirety… the artists entries (in order)

A swap for the ages! For the past year, I participated in a swap hosted by my lovely friend Tina Walker!
These are the results.

The people? A new artist had my book every month.

The book? I used a vintage book cover, @umwowstudio book spine, waxed linen thread & watercolor paper.

The pages? BEAUTIFUL! Pages in order by artist:
@soul_positive
Kimberly Dilauro Rief
@sherieeddy
@adogslife13
@mymixedmediafun
@artjournaladdiction
@danatatar
@tgkrueger
@aksbarchitect
@kerry_molina_art
& myself last!

Visit them all to see this incredible abundance of art journal swapping.
I'll be showing stills of my contributions over the next few days!

An amazingly successful swap - thanks Tina! ♡

I participated in a great journal swap over the past 11 months organized by @adogslife13 Each month we received a journal to work in. We then mailed it to the next person and so on. I just got my journal back recently and I love everything about it! I did complete the few remaining pages that were empty in my journal, but here are some of the wonderfully talented ladies who worked in my journal:
@deedeecatron

It’s Scraplift Challenge @prettylittlestudio today! I’m up on the blog with my interpretation of the ubertalented @danatatar 🤩

I chose to use the “Wild Flowers“ collection like Dana did.
*Fun fact: I do not like the color purple… like at all🤣 But I decided to embrace it for this layout. I just pretended the purple was a shade I actually love-problem solved 🤣
📣Check out the blog ( link in my bio) to see how I created this layout & to shop this collection in the shop❤️

Love this delightful mini album that Dana Tatar created. 🌸🌼🌺 She cut the floral designs from the Brutus Monroe Colorful Spring Paper Pad and attached them to envelopes and bound into a mini album. We are looking forward to seeing our Brutus Monroe friends at Simon Says Create a week from today! You can find other amazing products from Brutus Monroe at SimonSaysStamp.com!
