RECONNECT FESTIVAL… what a vibe! 🪩🔥

Absolutely loved playing an hour of bouncing house tracks and seeing everyone dancing! 🎧🙌🏼

Catching up with old pals, making new ones and soaking up the atmosphere — what a blast! ❤️

Even better to have Northgate sponsoring the event and helping make it all happen, all for an amazing cause — M.E.N.D, supporting men’s mental health. 💙

Massive well done to Shaun for organising the whole event and making it happen — absolutely smashed it! 👏🏼🙌🏼

And of course… when the festival finishes, the party doesn’t! 😂🪩

Back to ours for the afters at The Hart & Arrow @thehartandarrow 🦌🏹🎶🍾

Music, mates, good vibes and a great cause. What a day! ❤️

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT// DAN BRADSHAW

A familiar face in the North East scene, Dan Bradshaw has been carving out his own lane through a deep-rooted passion for underground music.

Known for his work behind the decks and as one half of the team behind Hoax, Dan has helped push forward a community built around quality music, good energy and bringing people together.

His selections draw from the deeper side of house music - blending groove-driven cuts, rolling rhythms and underground influences that keep the dancefloor moving.

Alongside his work with Hoax, Dan is also the owner of Wax Barber Shop & Record Store, combining two of his biggest passions: music and culture.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Dan to the dojo🥋

Meet Jacob, our new barber 👏

Jacob has just completed his course at the renowned @sbbarberingacademy, where he was awarded Barber of the Course which is a massive achievement. 🔥

He’ll be joining the team full-time very shortly and will be taking bookings through Booksy, as well as walk-ins whenever he’s available. This means even more appointments will be available if you can’t get in with the rest of the lads.

We’re excited to see Jacob grow as a barber and become part of the Waxx team, make sure to give him a warm welcome when you see him in the shop! 💈

Book in soon and show him some support 🤜🏻🤛🏻

We are back on the the wet for another kick about on the river, This time we welcome Leeds legend and all round geezer @bobby_odonnell to show us all why he’s been every dj’s favourite dj over the decades.

Bobby O’Donnell is one in a famous line of resident DJs who break out from being a local hero and become underground mainstays. He will always be associated with legendary sets at System and Mint Warehouse in Leeds, but these days he takes his dancefloor-friendly weirdness to clubs all over the place. He’s well-versed in connecting with festival crowds but likes to get down and dirty in smaller sweatboxes where he can tease and please with slick broken beats, futurist synth lines and trippy hooks. He plays with a sense of fun that brings inescapable energy, but also real musical character from spaced-out techno to thumping house.

And it’s the same with his meticulously produced tunes.

Over the last decade-plus, they have subtly evolved to take in deep and dusty house, bouncy techno and crisp electro. Each one starts with tight drum programming and brims with creative sound designs that elevate them way above pure function. They have come on plenty of well-regarded labels, most recently the likes of Burnski’s Pilot and MINDHELMENT both solo and in collaboration with fellow Leeds favourite Reeshy. His label, E-Numbers, has been home to his own work as well as music by 100Hz and Voigtmann and now, after a pandemic-induced hiatus, it is back and firing once again.

Alongside Bobby on the evening will be your trustworthy Hoax residents taking each side of Bobbys headline set in their stride.

As usual when the boat boards it will not dock back up until the party finishes so we can not emphasise enough the importance of arriving at the start.

Boat - Prince Bishop River Cruise

The Boat Ho/Elvet Bridge, Durham DH1 3AF

Boards at 5pm, docks again at 11pm Ticket link in bio.
