Thank you so much to @grandcentralatelier and The Hotchkiss School for an amazing experience at the Hudson River Fellowship this summer. It’s inspiring and humbling to get to draw and paint outside all day everyday with incredible artists from around the world, rain sun or bear.

Everyone’s love of painting and nature is infectious and I’m very grateful to have met all the fellows and to get to be a part of it and learn from everyone. Excited to see what everyone makes for the show in NYC in November and to keep painting together

This is a 5 day Summer workshop that you won’t want to miss with visiting instructor @danbunnart !
Baroque Still Life : Remixing The Past
Do you ever wonder what makes paintings in the museum glow and sing? Or what did artists
of the past consider when they began a painting? Furthermore, how the heck did they produce
the stunning masterpieces we cherish today, in eras before science, and with minimal
technology?
During this 5 day workshop, join oil painter and educator Dan Bunn in a deep dive to reverse
engineer the aesthetics and processes of Baroque still life painters, using contemporary
materials and sensibilities to make impactful artwork.
We’ll consider materials, subject, and creating a studio scenario that will set you up to make a
convincing painting, as well as cover basic to advanced concepts for how to pull it all together
when you’re working on your own later. During the 5 days we will go through a full painting
process, from picture planning to finishing touches.

Doubtful anyone would describe Nanny Goat as a dark arts gallery but we really love the work we’ve shown (and sold) that takes a turn for the eerie. Here is a smattering of a number of those pieces still currently available on our site. Artists are tagged in each image!

Please send any questions or inquiries to hello@nannygoatgallery.com and we do offer convenient payment plans. 🐐🦇

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our first group show. Vernal was about taking artworks from seemingly different styles / mediums and blending them seamlessly into a cohesive show.

Vernal is an adjective meaning relating to, occurring in, or characteristic of the spring season. It often describes things that are fresh, new, or youthful, similar to the renewal seen in springtime.

All of the artists are in an emerging state of their careers and I look forward to watching everyone in the show blossom.
