OUR GIRL IS HITTING THE BALLROOM FLOOR 💃🔥

We are SO excited to cheer on our fearless leader and studio owner, Allie, as she dances alongside Mayor Will Haynie this Thursday for Charleston’s very first Battle of the Ballroom!

A little Dancing With The Stars.
A little friendly competition.
A LOT of community spirit.
And an incredible cause.

Battle of the Ballroom benefits the Charleston County School District Academic Project Fund, supporting initiatives including Universal Pre-K, educator professional development, literacy programs, and more.

one birthday, a group of friends, a whole lot of tulle, and a little bit of casual sax. 🎷 ✨ our girl turned 40 this weekend so we threw a party spanning four decades and everyone was told to come dressed for the decade they were born. a little ’80s, a little ’90s, and a little 2000s! happy birthday @norr86!! the world is a better place with you in it and we are so thankful you were born! ✨🎉

What an incredible group of people. I loved every second of getting to capture the powerhouse production they put on that night. And all the fun they had doing it. Such an amazing community Allie has cultivated at The Dance Space!!

One of the greatest responsibilities we have as teachers is making sure our dancers know they are capable.

Because confidence doesn’t come from being perfect.

It comes from being encouraged.
It comes from being supported.
It comes from having someone believe in you before you fully believe in yourself.

Of course we want our dancers to improve. We want them to work hard, grow, and challenge themselves.

But we never want them to forget to be proud of who they are right now.

Every dancer deserves to have their effort recognized. Their progress celebrated. Their journey honored.

Because the goal has never been to create dancers who only know how to perform.

The goal is to create dancers who believe in themselves.

And that will always be at the heart of The Dance Space. 💜

A great friend, the energy behind our music, and the guy who somehow turns every wedding into a full blown party.
