Hello!!!🧑🏼‍🩰

My name is Bella Guminey!🩰 I’ve been dancing since I could walk and I spent the majority of my life in the competition world. After a long break, I decided to return to teach and slowly get back to performing!🤩

Ballet Foot & Leg Strength 🩰✨

These are some of my favorite exercises for building foot strength, ankle stability, articulation, and the strength needed to support beautiful ballet technique. ☺️

Try adding these to your routine:

🩰 1. Tennis Ball Arch Roll
Place a tennis ball under the arch of the foot then roll from the heel toward the ball of the foot, applying comfortable pressure. Keep the movement controlled and breathe through any areas of tension.
1–2 minutes per foot

🩰 2. Heel Raises on a Yoga Block
Rise through the balls of the feet and lower with control, keeping the weight evenly distributed and the ankles aligned.
2–3 sets × 12–15 reps

🩰 3. Ball-of-Foot Press & Point
Place the ball of the foot on the yoga ball. Press down through the ball of the foot while articulating through the toes into a full point, then return slowly.
2 sets × 8–10 reps per foot

🩰 4. Theraband Foot Articulation
Work through the foot slowly—heel, ball of the foot, then toes—focusing on articulation rather than speed.
2 sets × 8–10 reps per foot

🩰 5. Seated Straight-Leg Raises
Sit tall with your legs extended and lift one leg at a time using the hip flexors while maintaining a long, supported posture.
2 sets × 8–10 reps per leg

🩰 6. Lying Single-Leg Splits with Band
Using the band for gentle resistance, work through your range of motion while keeping the supporting leg and core engaged.
2 sets × 6–8 slow reps per leg

✨ The goal is to move with intention! Control, alignment, and articulation are what build the foundation for strong ballet technique.

Save this for your next practice & give your feet some love! 🤍 xoxo
