What does Cockermouth look like on stage? Our Community Steering Group is helping us answer that question as we make The Flood. Throughout the process, a group of people who live and/or work in Cockermouth have been getting stuck into the making of the show - feeding back on the script, exploring ideas for set and costume, sharing local knowledge and memories and helping us make sure the Cockermouth we put on stage feels rich, recognisable and real. At our latest session, @jordantweddle visited to work through scenes and think, with the group and director Kieran Sheehan, about the characters and what felt most important to communicate to the audience. In upcoming sessions we will welcome more of the cast and creative team to further explore the different elements that make up the show. This is at the heart of how Small Talk makes work: bringing people into the creative process early. It makes the story richer. And hopefully, when The Flood reaches the stage this December, the town will be recognisable in the madness. ❤️ 🎟️ Grab your tickets via the ~Link In Bio~ 🎟️ Not pictured: the incredible pizzas from @magicmountainpizzaco 🍕 📸 @grantarcher

I am incredibly grateful to have been Assistant Director for The Secret Garden at The Egg theatre. Thank you to @missknee and The Egg for this opportunity. I have learnt so much through this process. Due to illness, I ALSO had my professional debut, understudying as Mary Lennox. I couldn’t have done it without the wonderful flexibility and support from the entire company. For the last 3 and a half weeks I have also been a dresser on the production. I have really loved every angle that I have managed to see this show from. Im grateful to everyone that has supported me and I’m really going to miss this team ❤️ AD. Dresser. Mary understudy. What the hell I’m a theatre professional.
