POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

16 months ago on an easy run (5 miles, of course), @stephmccall and I decided to start a running podcast. We bought two microphones and an iPhone stand and took them to my living room to record our first episode… quite a few hours later, we had filled our iPhone storage with attempts at a podcast, cried with laughter multiple times and made the decision that we needed a little help. (Yes, we still have the footage for lols).

16 months on, we have just hit 100k listeners - it couldn’t be a better Christmas present for us! We feel so lucky that each week, we get to have amazing conversations and share them with our wonderful community.

We’re so grateful to all of our guests, sponsors, our amazing listeners who tune in every week and for all of the lovely messages of support and encouragement we receive.

A huge thank you to everyone and we cannot wait to build on the pod in 2025 - we’ve got some exciting goals! 🙏🏻🥳🎉

Birds.

Such a good feeling when you are starting to get to grips with the new camera. There is something so satisfying about smooth buttery slow motion footage and even better when the subjects are ducks!

Still getting a bit bogged down when I’m having to run and gun and alter settings on the move, making sure I’m exposing correctly in changing lightening conditions like a race or even just moving around the house. But I’m getting there, and working with Proxies has definitely changed my life! No slow choppy editing anymore.

HAPPY SAD

Great fun documenting @philybowden & @afdacofficial taking the dub at the national road relays in Birmingham on Saturday…

But had to drive the little lady to the airport this morning as she goes on camp no. 1 of 2 for marathon block number 3! It’s definitely going to be a quiet 5 weeks for sure. Although it’s a little sad, it’s amazing what we’ve both built with the YouTube channels and businesses around them to allow Phily to prioritise her training and give her the best chance at smashing her marathon goals. And I get a free house to party with the cats 😉🥳

And thanks @bannersrunningsnaps for the great shot it’s a rare sight for us both to be in a picture 😂

One balcony can tell 100 stories… 🤮

And those 100 stories always look so much better at 100fps! The new camera is a beast!

Few learnings:
- slog 3 is tricky to expose properly when you are running and gunning vlog style but if you have the time to expose properly it is so beautiful!

- a big shock moving from Canon to Sony, my advice is don’t put any pressure on making usable content for a few weeks and just fail a bunch until your confident + find friends like @james.creates who will help you with any questions you might have!

- I completely underestimated how big 60/120fps 4k footage is, having worked with 1080 for over a year now

- my laptop can’t take those files

- proxies are sent from god 😂

The Day Has Arrived!

It’s new camera day, and oddly I felt a bit of imposter syndrome opening this this morning. My head was telling me that I’m not good enough to warrant this upgrade in kit. I know this is a bunch of rubbish and it’s so fun to see how far I’ve come, and this is just going push me to get even better!

I’m so excited to get my teeth stuck into this bit of kit, I’m sure there will be some growing pains and a fair few mistakes but that comes with the business 📚watch out for some pretty footage on mine and @philybowden YT channels 👌🏽

Camera body: Sony fx30
Lense 1: Sony 10-20m f4 (Phily’s vlogging)
Lense 2: Tamron 17-70 f2.8 (My everything lense)

There are some more upgrades coming soon 📺

The full set: PBs all round ✌🏼

Feels pretty cool to be dropping a new design after the merch launch was so well received earlier this year! We’re adding one new design to the mix but with more to offer than Tee’s this time!

New drip dropping 4th August, this mini drop includes:
🤍 White tees
🖤🩶 Black and grey sweaters and hoodies
💼 and a jumbo tote bag

All showcasing the “PBs all round” design (that’s the cute little PB running figure)

The OG designs currently in the shop will stay out for now… we’ll let you know when they’ll be disappearing before the new season designs arrive in the Winter 👀

Late train arriving to the Wes Anderson trend 🚂

It absolutely had to be done with scenes like this, Sankt Moritz was made for a Wes film 🎞🌞🏔

WHAT AN EVENT 💥🎉🏃🏻‍♂️
.
.
.
My race vlog from the @bristoltrackclub 5K race is live now on YouTube and here’s a little sneak peak 🎬 Huge kudos to everyone involved who made it such an incredible event with an electric atmosphere; it really did make running your guts out so much easier! The result for me was just a bonus but seeing so many awesome people was certainly a highlight. Our sport needs more of this. Take notes people👏🏻
