I can’t lie it’s been refreshing to be in a totally different country to escape the norm, but one constant with me is that wherever I am, I’ll always want to train. I feel most at peace when I’m in a gym, and as much as I miss my own space, it was great to find a quiet hotel gym all to myself equipped with a cable machine & some dumbbells and bench. The weight may not have been heavy enough for certain things but we had some top tier sessions! 👌🏾💪🏾🙏🏾

One unique thing about having a home gym with a glass roof is, that the natural light plays a huge part in the aesthetic. There’s a sweet spot around blue hour where it just feels 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾

I can’t lie this little Rayofi go tone might actually be the perfect travel companion! 🤯👌🏾
Training whilst travelling isn’t always about setting PRs, sometimes you just want to get a holiday pump, or train to feel good. This for me, is where the Rayofi really shines. Besides the Eccentric & Concentric modes, it offers from 3-30kg of constant digital resistance. You simply press your desired weight & lift! Previously on trips I’ve taken resistance bands but this far outweighs any bands I’ve ever used. The tension feels very similar to cables, and with slow controlled movement you’d hardly be able to tell the difference. If you’re interested go check out the Rayofi website & use code: CJSessionz for a little discount too!

Do you factor in your fitness on holiday? 💪🏾
Many people forget that it can be as simple as just getting your steps in. I typically hit 10k steps a day here at home, but whilst in Barcelona we were averaging 15-17k steps a day, and the year before that in Paris was 18-20k a day. Simply going out, getting fresh air and exploring your new surroundings acts as the perfect way to add to your step count, plus you can save money on taxis and ubers!
And I don’t know about you but does anyone else filter hotels on their holiday search by making sure it has a hotel gym? Having at least a few days in the gym moving weight is a must for me… it lowkey helps to keep me somewhat sane 😅

Hotel gym lighting 10/10… Overall equipment selection mmm maybe not so much 😅 but I did lowkey quite enjoy strippin it back a little and goin back to basics with just dumbbells. Training doesn’t have to be hard… but you’re intensity should be 💪🏾
