Last month we gathered to celebrate @conocophillips and their incredible support for the ConocoPhillips Hub for Inspired Learning. Hearing firsthand from teachers about the profound impact on their students reminded us just how vital this work is. 📖💡 Special shoutout to @eazygbeatzjbc for giving everyone a quick intro to beatboxing!

This is 53!!! So grateful for each day that I get to explore, celebrate, learn and relearn.

This past few weeks have magically helped me connect to that little girl inside me.

I’m so grateful for my community who gets me and continues to shine a light for me to continue shining and thriving.

Can’t wait to see what this year brings!!

Grade 1 students are redefining what it means to be EXTRA-ordinary. By writing an original song and turning hand-drawn sketches into stage props, these mini-creatives are taking over the stage! ✨ #ArtsReimaginED

Our final development day! Teaching Artists stepped into the role of the learner through experiences in circus arts with @greenfools, rediscovering and affirming the value of curiosity, play, and perspective. And the learning didn't stop there — the one and only Jean E. Taylor from Lincoln Center Education joined us to share insights from her work in the field of teaching artistry.

They confront fatphobia, diet culture, and the intersection of fatness with race in this playfully political pop-art piece. Come hungry for a new perspective and leave fuller than you came!

This past weekend, teaching artists gathered at Werklund Centre to explore our Change-maker Projects and what it means to be a teaching artist. Together, we stepped into a space of curiosity, listening, and imagination, asking what becomes possible when young people’s voices and ideas lead the way.

At the heart of this work is responsiveness. We listen closely to our community and to our learners, allowing their questions, concerns, and hopes to shape the creative journey. As teaching artists, our role is not only to bring our own artistry into the room, but to “activate the artistry in others.”

There is something powerful about witnessing that moment when a learner realizes their ideas matter, when creativity opens a door to voice, agency, and possibility. Those are the moments that change a room. Those are the moments that change us, too.

We love seeing learners activated and transformed through the arts. We love the community that makes this work possible, artists, teachers, students, and partners all imagining together what the world could be.
