ANBF - A DAY FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS

16 athletes of the team at one of the biggest natural bodybuilding shows in the world.
-
From a coaching perspective, days like this leave absolutely no room for mistakes.
-
Not with the peak. Not with timing. Not backstage. Not with the small decisions that can ultimately cost placings on a stage of this level.
-
From the first athlete in the morning until the final Pro classes at night, it was non-stop action.
-
🗡️ 1 Pro Class Win 🏆 2 Overalls 🎫 2 Pro Cards 🥇 3 Class Wins 🥈 3 Runner Up 🥉 1 3rd Place 🏅 10 Top 5 Placings

Two new Pros in one day.

And both of them immediately proving they belong at that level.

No team at this show walked away with more success than we did.

Something I’m incredibly proud of not only because of the results, but because days like this are always a team effort.

Athletes. Coach. Backstage support.
Everyone has to do their job.

And the team delivered. From morning until night.

ANBF 2026

Nachdem es mittlerweile knapp ein Jahr her ist, dass ich selbst auf der Bühne in der Tips Arena in Linz stand, konnte ich die diesjährige ANBF aus anderer Perspektive verfolgen.
-
Schon bei der Ankunft in Linz habe ich mich direkt ins letzte Jahr zurückversetzt gefühlt. Durch die gleiche Unterkunft wie beim letzten Mal, dem selben Apartment in dem Team Büchner am Freitag die Farbe gemacht hat und natürlich der Wettkampflocation und dem Backstage-Bereich selbst, war das Wochenende geprägt von Flashbacks an den letztjährigen Saisonabschluss.
-
Vom Wettkampf selbst konnte ich wieder einiges an Motivation mitnehmen, Wahnsinn, wie hoch das Niveau der Show war. Natürlich auch geprägt von Team Büchner, das mal wieder komplett abgerissen und unzählige Finalplatzierungen mitgenommen hat - inklusive Klassensiegen und 2 Overalls. Die Classic-Athleten-Anzahl hat zum letzten Jahr auch nochmal zugelegt. Am Ende gabs dann auch noch zwei erfolgreiche Profi-Debüts und den Sieg der Bodybuilding Pro Klasse von @steinbauer_marcel

Letztes Jahr noch im Anschluss an eine gemeinsame Session in Wien nach ein paar Tagen post-ANBF neben Marcel gestanden. Ohne Restfarbe und Prep-Form, würde ich mich das jetzt auch nicht mehr trauen😂

Nochmal Glückwunsch ans gesamte Team, hat extrem viel Spaß gemacht und ich freue mich schon auf die Evo in 2 Wochen.

Mit der Motivation aus der Show wird nach dem Deload der nächste produktive Mesozyklus der Improvementseason eingeleitet, damit 2028 dann ein stark verbessertes Paket in Linz präsentiert werden kann ⚔️

ERSTER SHOWDAY 2026 - BNBF 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Jetzt ist es eine ganze Woche her, seitdem ich das erste Mal auf der Bühne stand. Fühlt sich irgendwie noch immer surreal an, als wäre das alles nie passiert.

Hier mal ein Recap zum gesamten Showwochenende mit 1A Bildmaterial!

Erstes Highlight war natürlich das Pump-Training im Flex 'n' Tone. Die Gym-Atmosphäre: Unschlagbar!

Konkurrenz war für ein Warm-Up denke ich mehr als beeindruckend. Hier mit Platz 1 und Platz 2 im direkten Vergleich.

Alles in allem bin ich mehr als zufrieden mit meinem First Showing! Großen Dank natürlich an meinen Coach @tobias_buechner_ der mich in dieser Form auf die Bühne gebracht hat 🙏

Erste Show direkt im ersten Callout sowie mit dem vierten Platz dementsprechend auch eine Finalplatzierung und Trophäe geholt. Gute Leistung, aber ich weiß, wo es Verbesserungspotenzial gibt und wir holen nochmals alles raus für die nächste Show!

BNBF Northern, es war ein Fest und auf jeden Fall nicht das letzte Mal, dass ihr mich zu Gesicht bekommt!

Aber jetzt wurde genug über den vergangenen Wettkampf geredet, es geht nämlich direkt weiter ➡️ 2 WEEKS OUT GBA 🇩🇪

BNBF NORTHERN - EVERYONE SHOWED UP

Probably what I’m most proud of from this weekend:
Everyone showed up.
And not just on stage.
-
The travel.
The training sessions.
Meeting people in person.
The conversations.
The backstage chaos.
And eventually, the few minutes under the lights
-
That whole experience is what makes these weekends special.
-
For some, it was their first time ever stepping on stage. For others, it was the first real checkpoint before the main shows.
-
Different goals. Different levels. Different expectations.
-
But the same commitment to the process.
-
A warm-up show isn’t about presenting the finished product. It’s about experiencing the process, collecting feedback and finding out what still needs to be done.
-
And after this weekend, we know exactly that.
Now we sharpen.

BNBF NORTHERN RESULTS

Der wohl competitivste Qualifier der BNBF - zum vierten Mal in Folge der Auftakt in die Herbstsaison. Und auch dieses Jahr hat sich das Team von seiner besten Seite präsentiert.
-
Warm-Up Shows sind kein Grund, nicht in Form aufzutauchen, aber eben auch noch keine Shows, in der Peak Look präsentiert wird. Und genau diese Pakete gebracht und am Wochenende folgende Results eingefahren:

🥈- Mens BB Middleweight
Nach 4 Jahren Bühnenabstinenz die Rückkehr und das mit einem deutlich besseren Paket. Auch wenn die Klasse nur aus 3 Athleten bestand, war sie in ihrer Dichte wohl die beste der Show. @philopll sichert sich dort verdient den Runner Up und wir nehmen wertvolle Erkenntnisse für die nächste Show in 3 Wochen mit.

🥇- Mens BB Lightweight
Auch für @lightweightbenji war es nach 4 Jahren Wettkampfpause die Rückkehr auf die Bühne und das mit einem Paket, das sein vergangenes komplett in den Schatten stellt und er mit dem er sich völlig verdient den Sieg in der Klasse gesichert hat. 4kg mehr Stageweight bei besserem Conditioning sagt genug. Linearerer Load hat dem Look extrem gut getan und uns klargemacht, wo wir schon stehen und was wir noch zu tun haben.

🏅- Mens BB Novice
@mt.physiquecoaching stand am Wochenende zum allerersten Mal auf der Bühne und das in der größten Klasse des Tages (12 Athleten). In einer bunt gemischten Novice Klasse scheitern wir ganz knapp an den Top 5 (am Ende Platz 6) und auch wenn ich ihn dort klar gesehen habe, ist genau das Bodybuilding. Abhaken und beim nächsten Mal noch besser kommen. Präsentation war nicht die eines First Timers und genau das wollten wir sehen.

@armin_watzenboeck war ebenfalls First Timer und hat sich direkt mal in einer brutalen Juniorenklasse behaupten müs

FIRST ACT – BNBF 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Der erste Akt ist im Kasten.
Zwischen Flug, Mealprep, Orga, Tanning, Pump-up, Stress, Clientwork und dem Klassensieg bin ich gerade einfach nur überwältigt von all den Nachrichten, Emotionen und Eindrücken. Das muss jetzt erst mal verarbeitet werden.

Aber eines steht fest: Ich habe jede einzelne Sekunde genossen.

Danke an jeden von euch für die Unterstützung und den Support.

THE FALL RUN

Last fall gave us moments I’ll probably remember for the rest of my coaching career. And now it’s time to create new ones.
-
20 athletes. 8 first timers. 12+ shows.
-
Figure, Men’s Physique, Classic Physique and Bodybuilding across pretty much every weight and age class including Juniors and Teen Bodybuilding.
-
Probably the most diverse group of individual athletes I’ve ever taken into a season.
And that’s exactly what makes me so excited for what’s ahead.
-
Different structures. Different strengths. Different weaknesses. Different levels of experience. Different starting points. Different problems to solve.
-
Eight of them will step on stage for the very first time.
Others are returning with more experience, higher expectations and unfinished business.
But every single one of them has the same job:
Show what the last months and years of work have built.
-
Looking back at some of the best moments from last fall only makes me even more excited for what’s ahead.
Class wins. Overalls. Breakthrough performances. Moments we’ll remember for a long time.
-
The season officially starts in five days.
But last weekend already gave us a pretty good idea of what’s coming.
-
The EVO Qualifier was the first taste and now we’re right in the middle of Peak Week #1 for BNBF this weekend.
-
From there, it’s on.
-
Let’s get to work.
