@cu_zzi @daniel_cuzzii stepped on stage for the first time yesterday for the Mr. Anthracite/Coal natural championship 🔥
.
We weighed in right about 155 putting him in the lightweight classic and bodybuilding classes. This kid worked his ass off; stuck to the diet, did the cardio, organized his life to keep stress down and sleep up, everything I could have asked 👏🏻
.
He took 2nd in both categories and I’m so proud! 🏆 he was by far the most aesthetic competitor, he came prepared and confident, ready to go 🔥
.
I’m excited to see how he progresses! He’s 18 years old and already has a phenomenal physique. He’s gonna be a menace with some time 💪🏼🏆

@daniel_cuzzii trained with me this afternoon for a back tune up and some tweaks on form 👌🏻 this was his first session, so it was more of a feeler form wise and a pressure test to see how he handles the movements 🔥
.
Starting with lat pullovers to wake up the lats, he was in a wider elbows externally rotated position. Pulling the elbows moreso internally and using individual dumbbells allowed him to mimic the lats flaring as if the peak of the rep was sitting into an ab and thigh pose. The elbows rotated internally and keeping emphasis on pulling over and behind the head / leading with the elbows allowed him to really open up the reps and gain contraction as if it were the first time 🔥
.
Following with rack pulls, reps per warm up were lower 4-6 to get a feeling for the weight but NOT to burn too much energy working up. The cues I like to use for rack pulls are 1) bar placed right under the knee (hence the stacked plates)
2) Sit on the heels, push through them slightly while simultaneously pushing the sternum to the sky
3) Allow the shoulder blades to fall back and squeeze together as the arms hang
4) Tuck the chin, pelvis rotated slightly back, and pull the weight
5) At the peak of the pull, because the sternum is up shoulders are pulled back together. The weight fighting gravity down, as your pelvis is slightly back, will make it feel as if your pulling those blades down to your butt crack, creating a bit of an arch
6) Stay glued to that form and maintain it as the bar drags down the legs to the safety bar
^ THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT! 6) Maintains time under tension and contracts muscles further keeping form until the safety bars are touched 🏋🏼
.
Overhand Cable Pulldowns with a grip inside the bend of the bar. His form is being tweaked as his original angle created more of a row with elbows passing through thebody. Pelvis / hips were rotated back and the top half of the body is arched. His elbows were originally flared and his body angle was too far back. I had him adjust to keeping the elbows rotated in towards his center and pull down leading them to the top of his quads *PUT THE ELBOW IN YOUR POCKET*
