Capturing a feeling.
📍Hood River, OR

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

3 days on the Timberline Trail and somehow still felt a bit desperate at the end…

Started strong with running into @danielle.maayan.art at a coffee shop in Hood River and we all got to hike together for start of trail 💋 Gorgeous sunset colors and taco Mac to match. Then chill chill day 2 with what we like to call a “southern start” (opposed to alpine start) where we get ready to move around 12pm for the day. All in all moved about 20 feet to another campsite and scuttled up the ridge to get closer view to Mt Hood. Next day woke up totally covered in dust with rain/sleet/snow and temps dropping… made it to timberline lodge about 30 min after fingers started going numb and we were totally soaked to the bone. Epic place to warm up in the lodge where The Shining exterior was filmed?? Grateful for the fam and an amazing pops that is the stoke provider for these backpacking trips and I just get to tag along and keep learning from the best❤️

Weekend of women, whitewater, and good vibes.

I’m still riding on the high of @ktdid016 getting her PFD on the Ocoee. If you didn’t get a chance to get on the Ocoee this year, too bad for you because it was BEAUTIFUL.

Props to @ladiestaketheocoee crew and @campoutsidephotos for most of the pics.

With the help of @danielle.maayan.art I got the finishing touches done on this 4 wall Prairie Canteen mural at @danielstoweconservancy! I still need to put the top coat on, so I’ll post more pictures next week, after I peel off the painters tape.
It’s been so delightful getting to work on site in the stunning botanical gardens, next to the coolest playground, in one of my favorite Nature spots of the Charlotte area. I don’t think there is any topping this job site! I also loved getting to learn more about our native Piedmont prairie ecosystem and getting to focus on my favorite subject matter- native flowers! 🌼🌸🌻 Stay tuned for the final product!
And a huge thanks to @danielle.maayan.art for both the skilled hand and morale boost I needed to wrap this up!

You may have seen Dani’s ( @danielle.maayan.art ) work in American Whitewater or at The Gauge Coffee house. Now you can see her at Chattulah!

Dani can often be spotted alongside the river with her watercolors. She enjoys capturing the movement of the water in person using watercolor and pen playing with vibrant colors. Dani also creates a variety of stickers for fun, maybe you will relate to one.

She will be at Chattulah with stickers for your nalgene and mixed media artworks that bring the river inside your home!
