POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As film festival season begins, Dani Sutherland’s work is already making its mark—winning at two international film festivals for his exceptional drone videography.

Dani doesn’t simply capture footage. He sees the vision behind the story.

He has a remarkable eye for the moments others may miss—the small human connections, the emotion within a landscape, and the details that transform an image into something people can truly feel.

That is what makes Dani’s work so powerful. His ability to connect with people, understand the heart of a story, and translate that vision through his lens sets him apart. Every movement, every angle, and every frame has purpose.

These international wins are an incredible recognition of his talent, but they also reflect what Dani does best: helping important stories rise above the noise, reach wider audiences, and leave a lasting impact.

Congratulations, Dani. We are incredibly proud to see the vision, creativity, and storytelling recognized on the international stage. This is only the beginning. You make Jamaica Stand Out.

Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate our videographer and drone operator, Daniel Sutherland.

Dani has an amazing gift for telling stories through his lens. His work goes far beyond capturing beautiful images—he captures emotion, humanity and the moments that help people truly connect with Jamaica.

His powerful drone videography in After Melissa helped bring global attention to Hurricane Melissa, its devastating aftermath and, most importantly, the courage, resilience and strength of the Jamaican people.

To see this important documentary recognized with Best Documentary awards at two international film festivals is a tremendous achievement. It places Jamaica’s stories, talent and creative excellence on an entirely different global stage.

Dani, we are so proud of you and grateful for the passion, care and dedication you bring to your work with Jamaica Cruising.

Congratulations to the entire team behind After Melissa. Thank you for using your talents to ensure this story was seen, felt and remembered around the world.

Jamaica continues to shine—and so do the extraordinary people who share its stories.

Dani, congratulations on having your incredible work nominated at three international film festivals for your work on a documentary on Hurricane Melissa! 🎬🌍

Dani is one of the most humble and kind people you will ever meet—always willing to step in, lend a hand and help wherever he can.

Was he paid for his work on this documentary? No. When I asked him why he chose to do it, his answer was simple:

“It was the right thing to do.”

That response says everything about who Dani is. His work was driven not by recognition or reward, but by compassion, purpose and a genuine desire to help tell an important story.

Dani, I am extremely proud of you, and the entire Lemoneight team is incredibly proud of you too. These nominations are so well deserved. Keep shining! 💛🍋
