Today marks the 68th anniversary of the OKC Sit-ins.

We celebrated by sharing our story and info about the annual Freedom Fiesta on @news9 and @kfortv4 this morning. Tonight, we are honoring Clara Luper’s legacy through a fellowship dinner at @florencesrestaurant. Each member shared about what the legacy committee means to them and the impact that Clara Luper has in our everyday lives.

History is still alive, we hope to see you this week at the freedom fiesta to continue making history🤍

The Wiz: A Black Broadway Affair ✨🎭

What a dope evening as I had the opportunity to host a few peers for a special celebration of OKC Broadway’s (@okcbroadway ) 10th Anniversary Season, experiencing The Wiz through a curated evening called A Black Broadway Affair, a night centered around culture, community, and the magic of The Wiz (@thewizbway ) right here in the city.

From the fellowship during the Art Social hosted by The Vanguart Performing Arts Foundation (@thevanguart ) at Mary Eddy’s (@maryeddysokc ), to the good energy inside the theater as we experienced Opening Night at the Civic Center Music Hall (@okcciviccenter ) (with the support of the Northeast OKC Renaissance @neokcr ) , the entire experience felt rich, intentional, and full of joy from beginning to end.

I hope everyone left feeling inspired, joyful, and poured into the same way I did.

Special thank you to NEOKCR, The Vanguart Performing Arts Foundation, and for helping invest in this experience and bringing this beautiful night to life. ✨
will be at the Civic Center Music Hall from May 19–24. For more information, reach out to OKC Broadway!

As always, much love!

Officially certified in my BS ⭐️ Today I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University with a B.S. in Entertainment Business and a minor in Costume Technology. Thank you OCU, family, and friends for the support that allowed me to survive 4 years of homework, 8AM classes, and everything else. Bye bye Oklahoma ❤️

It takes a village, and I am so incredibly thankful and lucky to be surrounded by people with so much heart and passion for creating spaces for AANHPI community, diversity and culture.
Thank you to Visit OKC for naming the Asian Night Market Festival one of the 2026 Hometown Heroes honorees ❤️
To the ANMF Committee and all those who helped bring such a meaningful cultural event to life in OKC— congratulations and thank you for giving so much of your time, and yourself, to building this festival into what it has become. Cheers! 🍾
