THE PEN CHECK is officially open. ✍🏽 This week, the pen has to address the room. ‘Why Can’t We Get Along In The Name Of Poetry?’ There is too much talent in this community for the art to keep getting buried beneath ego, competition, jealousy, division, cliques, personal agendas, and the constant need to be seen as more important than the work itself. So this challenge is not about naming names or throwing disguised shots. It is about examining the culture. Write about ego, competition, community, accountability, jealousy, division, respect, or what gets lost when the art becomes secondary to the artist. And don’t just write about what everybody else is doing wrong. Put your own pen under interrogation too. Poem. Spoken word. Prose. Bars. Micro-piece. However you answer the question, make the answer worth reading. If you participate, tag me @ Love_nLyrics so the piece can be seen and supported. #LoveAndLyrics #SeoulScribez #WritingChallenge

WE DID IT!! I'm beyond excited and incredibly honored to share that I've officially joined the Recording Academy's 2026 New Member Class! To think that a kid with a dream, a microphone, and a love for words would one day become part of the organization behind the GRAMMY Awards @grammys is truly humbling. As a spoken word artist, songwriter, engineer, producer, and independent creator, this is a milestone I never take for granted. I'm honored to stand alongside so many talented creators, artists, producers, engineers, and music professionals as we work together to support, uplift, and advocate for the people who make and shape music. I'm grateful for the opportunity to lend my voice, participate in the GRAMMY Awards process, and contribute to conversations that help move our industry forward. Thank you to Academy Members Danitra Tierra @danitra_tierra and Abyss Graham @teamabyss @abyssgraham for their excellent recommendations. Thank you to everyone who has listened to my poetry, supported my music, attended my performances, booked me to run audio or video recording sessions, shared my work, encouraged me, hired me to perform, and believed in me throughout this journey. This honor isn't just mine, it's one we all celebrate together. This is another reminder that no dream is too big when you stay faithful, stay consistent, and refuse to quit. May this be a reminder to all of you to Never Quit On Your Dreams. #IAmTheAcademy #RecordingAcademy #GRAMMYs #BigBailey #SpokenWord #HipHop #SMSEntertainment #IndependentArtist #NeverQuitOnYourDreams #NQOYD
