Tears of gratitude 🩷

Man, what a life changing week @get_up_festival ! I actually can not begin to thank everyone enough!

I have felt quite lost since I moved down to the South at times. All my safety nets were gone and the people I love that normally hype me up were all of a sudden a million miles away. I’ve struggled to be my best bad ass self (very thankful for my extremely patient and kind partner).

Painting that week for @get_up_festival, I found me again! Sounds silly, but this is the power of art! It healed a massive wound for me and that place, it brought my brother and I closer and healed two parts of a family. It showed me that I am always capable of more than I think I am and reminded me that doubt serves no one. It humbled me in my work and with personal relationships and reminded me how precious and beautiful all I have is. The connections and interactions with the public alone was overwhelmingly touching! Thank you honestly from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you for holding me Taranaki and allowing me to leave you with some beauty and dreams and my heart over flowing

Had a great time, thanks for being so real Taranaki.

Big thanks to @danmarksmusic for help with the harmonica (and photos) had a great time hanging with you and the group I met through you!

Super grateful I get to do this sort of thing, it’s not everyday you get the warmth from a show like this, it was awesome 🙌

Ever wondered what all these weird photos I do are about? Well……

My images talk about our individual identities and how they are formed. Each one is a snippet of that persons life and a peek into their inner psyche.
The photos discuss how we are all uniquely formed through the things we experience and societal pressures that also influence us.

My hope is to compile these into book form once I have enough, to show the collective identity of Aotearoa. A anthropological study of a countries identity through imagery

A cover of one of my favourite NZ musos, @joecolemusic for my tribute to @nzmusicmonth in May ☀️🍃 this song is called “Waving in the Open” but he’s just released a song with @nick.herbison called “Tides” and I think the bro @thomas_oliver_music produced and mastered it. It’s luuuuush 🤌 anyways, it’s been a hot minute since I posted anything and the algorithm has once again changed. I got a message saying long reels won’t be shown to anyone outside my following and I average around 5-10% engagement from my following so every little bit of word of mouth and sharing this around helps 💚 I’m not into chasing fads and trends anymore, I want to be authentically myself. So here is a bedroom recording from a couple weeks ago. Enjoy! X

Both @ashsalesmusic & @danmarksmusic took a chance on me to take a few picks at their recent gig in Auckland. 🎵🔥📷

Photography is a passion of mine; allowing to visually re-present my soul's feelings. I am so happy that a little bit of the spirit from both of these musicians was captured through my lens 🙏
