cycles: this year taught me lots of things and offered me the chance to meet some lovely people [and animals! to be precise as little Bill on the second image can testify!] / got the opportunity to think what a "community" might be in reality and what could be the linking parts in it / one thing I got reminded was that the most important thing is human relationships and verbal encounters which cannot be translated to numbers or written accounts / despite the hopeless romanticism that this view might carry, I still believe that the invisible element of human connections is what lies at the heart of any community and that communities are not bound to a physical space but rely on people's intentionality to nurture their existence / I also had the opportunity to reconsider the values that must lie behind volunteering systems, as essentially apart from their time, volunteers offer their energy for the belief of a greater goal / I will miss the easiness that the recurrent presence in a space on a weekly basis offers and the opportunity to regularly speak with so many people / I will miss the "Friday dream team" with all the laughs and joy / yet, that is not a goodbye but a regular "ciao!" to all the new friends I made, and many of whom joined me for a summer farewell party / so as I always used to say the last 9 months: "ciao for now!" ❤️

It's been a long weekend with all the family roped in to help in lots of different ways. But my goodness doesn't my old shop look amazing!!!!!!!.
She's had a total face-lift and I couldn't be happier. I'm loving the dreamy new teal colour from my wonderful neighbours @hunters_home_improvements and my awesome dummy cake for the display from @thetreathousebakery (more on that beaut another day 😉). My above the door instalation looks even better than I imagined 😍. Feel free to enjoy Hornsea as you sit in the traffic or walk past 😉 xxxxxxxx #bohemiafloraldesign #bohemiaflowerschool #hornsea #eastyorkshire #southgate #makeoverweekend #beforeandafter #beyondhappy #floristsofinstagram #masterflorist
