Had the best time at the first annual @sofi Real estate advisory board event.

I’ll be honest I showed up thinking there was no way I would ever suggest one of my buyers give a company I hadn’t worked with yet a loan, but after hearing everything they had to offer, I would personally use them myself! They have amazing incentives like a $10,000 deadline guarantee, 10 day closings, and $1000 plus no closing cost to any of my personal clients 🎉

@holly.meyer.lucas crushed the event and it was so fun to see everybody!

Last month I was in Nashville as part of SoFi’s inaugural Real Estate Advisory Council, a group of 50 agents and industry voices brought together to talk about what the homeownership experience should actually look like.

The video is the fun recap but the experience ended up meaning a lot more to me than I expected which is why I wrote a full article breaking down my biggest takeaways from being in the room.

We spent hours sitting across from SoFi executives talking honestly about how agents actually feel working with big financial institutions, especially when it comes to communication, speed, and trust in the middle of a deal.

What surprised me most wasn’t just the conversation itself, but how open they were to hearing it without trying to defend or redirect it.

I also wrote about what it was like being in a room with 50 agents from across the country and why I think conversations like this actually matter for both agents and consumers.

This week I was in Nashville after being invited to be part of @sofi Real Estate Advisory Council

It is a group of 50 agents/voices from across the industry brought together to help shape what the homeownership experience should actually look like.

Going into it, I genuinely had no idea what to expect.

I figured it’d be one of those things where you show up, shake some hands, kiss a baby, maybe film a little content, and keep it pushing.

It wasn’t that. We spent a few hours sitting across from @sofi executives having real conversations about how agents actually feel working with big financial institutions. We told them the reality!

We told them agents are skeptical of big banks. We told them they don’t move fast enough, communication can be inconsistent, and when you’re in the middle of a deal, that’s what matters the most.

What was the most surprising was how well it was received. No pushback but instead they just listened asked questions, and actually took it in.

I mean we literally got to spend time with the people who are creating loan products for our clients and got to share with them what’s important.

This isn’t a one time thing. We’ll be meeting regularly over the next 12 months, continuing these conversations and pushing for a better experience for the consumer and agent.

To say I am flattered to be a part of this would be an understatement. Thank you to @holly.meyer.lucas and @hype.boss_agency for including me and organizing an amazing event and even more amazing group of people.

Grateful to have spent time in Nashville this week for the Inaugural @sofi Real Estate Advisory Council meeting.

This was our first in person meeting & it was awesome getting to know the other 49 agents from across the country in this group - to learn more about their businesses, how they serve clients, and discuss how to improve the home buying process and make it more accessible for more Americans.
