September photodump! The past 5 weeks in #NYC working on @spandexmusical have been a blast - such a talented cast, crew, and band!
Thanks to all for their hard work, and tolerating my potty mouth.

Big gratitude and congratulations to our amazing soloists for reading beautiful concerti (Strauss Horn Concerto no. 1 and Beethoven Piano Cocnerto No.3) with us last night.
.
Despite the turned-off AC and out-of-tune piano situations, it was a beautiful night of music-making together. 🥰
Also, I didn’t realize this last night, but looking at the photos now, we had amazing color coordination going on with our shirt colors last night!!! 🤭

Such a heartwarming week at ColMu 🥰
🎺 A wonderful performance of Strauss’s Horn Concerto No. 1 with our amazing @sarahboxmeyer — and extra special to have her mom joining us in the flute section!

🎻 Sending off our Dora @blondies1928 as she heads out on the national tour with the very first ColMu interview video! 🎥

🎶 And working on, daring with, and growing through Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 together with our incredible ColMu musicians. 👏🏻🎶🎻📯🪈🥂

So grateful for this community and for all the music, fun and growth we get to share together. 🥰🎶

Send this to someone who makes a one-bedroom feel like a castle 🗝️

Thou Swell, written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart

This one’s nearly a century old, written for a musical where a guy time-travels to King Arthur’s court, hence all the “thou” and “thee.”Even back in 1927, people wanted the same thing we do now, a small apartment and someone to share it with. They just said it prettier!

Making our way through our favorite songs, see you next week ✨

We didn’t leave Brooklyn, but somehow we’ve sung our way from Paris to Napoli via Rio 🌞

Lucky us, getting to travel the world every time we play!

Send this to someone who was once the reason for everything 🥀

Historia de un Amor - Carlos Eleta Almarán

Written after the death of his brother’s wife, this bolero has been covered in more languages than almost any song in history! One of those songs where every version is beautiful, we couldn’t resist doing our own 🖤

Stay tuned for all upcoming dates, see you next at St. Mazie, Friday, August 14th!

Send this to someone who needs a reminder that the good times don’t last, so enjoy them always 🌹

Comme s’il en pleuvait - by beautiful Mayra Andrade (written by the incredible songwriter Tété)

This song is about a woman who used to have suitors and diamonds raining down on her, until one day it all stopped. We really love this song.

Stay tuned for all upcoming dates, see you next at @stmazie , Friday, August 14th!
