Took a quick trip to be on a panel about horror for kids at New York Comic Con! Thanks to @tayparade, @traceybaptistewrites, and @danpoblox for inviting me to participate. I had an absolute blast!

But the trip didn't start here. Swipe to rewind!

We went to see Paranormal Activity at the August Wilson Theater.

Little did I know how much this line, "Would you get the door?" would haunt me for the rest of the night...

I'm glad Kellen was with me for all the jumpscares. 🫪

We had great seats!

The play was funny and creepy. I jumped at least 6 times. The theater magic was truly mesmerizing, and I want more horror plays in the future.

THEN we went to NYCC the next day.

Where I got to participate in the Safe Spaces in Scary Books panel with @traceybaptistewrites, @danpoblox, and @tayparade. 🎉

Tracey is a hoot!

I stopped by the B&N booth and signed a stack of MYSTERY JAMES RETURNS FROM THE GRAVE, so grab your copies!

Photo op at the Blum House booth.

Met T. Kingfisher who was incredibly kind.

Horror 24/7

After a year of watching others enjoy their spooky little store, I finally made it to @twistedspinebooks! Not only have they had Mystery James on their shelves since day one, but the owners and staff were so warm and welcoming. I got to sign the author wall, and I signed a stack MYSTERY JAMES books. Be sure to stop in and grab a copy. Also, they carry The Monstrumologist, one of my very favorite horror books for young readers.

My Twisted Spine treasures!

Stopped at Leo's around the corner from the store for a slice of pizza. Bomb.

And I got to see my favorite kind of giant skeleton—an urban one.

Bye for now, New York, NY.
