When @jillkuramoto reached out for the 1st Annual AAJA Hawaii Trivia Night, it presented the perfect opportunity to create a team of former colleagues from @khonnews. Three decades ago we were young journalists among the legends of local TV news. 📺 We had a blast reminiscing on those days. Our chatting and laughter distracted us in competition and while we may have not ranked high, it’s clear we have the top place in our hearts for each other. It was a winning night of friendship and you can’t beat that! 🙌🏽❤️🤙🏽

Congratulations AAJA Hawaii on a great event! 👏🏽

A lot of aloha can happen when people come together for Hawaiʻi’s keiki. 💙

Earlier this summer, guests at RumFire helped support Children’s Miracle Network through our Burgers & Mai Tais for Miracles campaign.

That effort came full circle at the Kapiʻolani Radiothon for Kids, where associates from Moana Surfrider, The Royal Hawaiian, Sheraton Waikiki and Sheraton Princess Kaiulani came together in support of Hawaiʻi’s keiki.

Mahalo to our associates, guests and partners who helped make it possible. We’re grateful to be part of an effort that brings our hotels and community together for something that truly matters.

More than a game. 🌺🏈

The Sheraton Hawaiʻi Bowl brings people together while creating opportunities to support our local community.

We were grateful to join the Hawaiʻi Bowl Foundation, Extra Yard for Teachers, Teach For America Hawaiʻi, Coca-Cola, HawaiʻiUSA Federal Credit Union, Pearl Hawaii Federal Credit Union and Zippy’s in recognizing Hī‘ipoi Lee with a $1,000 award supporting her students.

Mahalo, Ms. Lee, and to educators across Hawaiʻi for all you do for our keiki.

Tourism is at its best when Hawaiʻi benefits too.

The leis, the smiles and a room full of people said it all.

Congratulations to Tets Yamazaki on receiving the Distinguished Industry Award at MPI Aloha Chapter’s 2026 Hoʻoilina Awards Gala.

From guiding the Sheraton Maui team as they cared for displaced associates and families after the wildfires to helping prepare the next generation at Sheraton Waikiki, Tets leads with integrity, humility and generosity.

We are proud of you, Tets—and grateful to everyone who has walked alongside you. 👏🏽
