Life in loneliness, within four walls. No children, no grandchildren, no family. Just silence, cold, and old toys.

This elderly woman lives completely alone. Her home is filled with old toys that she found abandoned, repaired, and brought home.

One day, I asked her, “Grandma, why do you have so many toys?”

She replied, “It’s very hard for me to be alone, especially in the silence. These toys are the ones I can talk to.”

You know, one of the greatest fears of growing old is being left alone, with no one to call, no one to talk to, and no one coming to visit.

But God says in the Bible: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

And today, the silence outside this grandmother’s home was broken by the sound of a heavy truck. A load of firewood had arrived!

For her, this is much more than firewood. It is God’s answer to her prayers. Now her home will be warm, and she no longer has to worry about how she will survive the coming winter.

I thank God for everyone who supports GLOW Mission and helps us care for lonely elderly people.

Your kindness warms not only their homes but also their hearts. Most importantly, it reminds them that they are not alone and have not been forgotten. ❤️🙏

We’re once again bringing firewood to one of our dear grandmas. 👵
And you know, what means the most to me about these trips is not just the opportunity to help, but seeing how a little kindness can bring so much joy and hope into someone’s life. ❤️

Just a few years ago, Maria had a job, dreams, and hopes for the future. She wanted to live, love, and simply enjoy life, just like you and me.

But a serious illness changed everything. Today, even the simplest things, preparing a meal, getting dressed, or lighting a stove to stay warm, have become almost impossible for her.

When I look at Maria, my heart aches. What seems so ordinary to us is a daily struggle for her.

Today, we brought Maria an entire truckload of firewood. To some, it’s just wood. But to her, it’s warmth, survival, and the precious reminder that she has not been forgotten.

She had dreamed of this for so long. And today, because of your kindness, that dream came true. ❤️

Thank you for helping us bring God’s love into the lives of those who are suffering. Sometimes, hope arrives in the simplest form, even as a truckload of firewood.

❤️ From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who supports GLOW Mission and helps us care for widows, the sick, and those who are alone.

Because of you, their homes are warmer, and their hearts are filled with hope.

“How will I survive this winter? God, please help!” Grandma Galina’s words are hard to forget.

Today, a truckload of firewood is arriving at her home. She is overjoyed and deeply grateful to the kind people who helped her prepare for winter. Now she will have a way to keep her home warm. And she can breathe a little easier…

To some, it is just firewood. But to her, it means warmth, a way to make it through the cold months, and the reassurance that she is not alone. Help came in answer to her prayer through people who opened their hearts to her need.

Thank you to everyone who supports GLOW Mission and helps widows and elderly people living alone survive these difficult days of war. Through your care, they experience God’s love.

May the Lord bless you abundantly! Thank you for warming both homes and hearts. ❤️🙏🇺🇦

Please be praying for Sergey and Vika tonight as they travel back into Ukraine. They are in Poland now after saying goodbye to our team here yesterday...

We have received reports that a major attack on Kyiv may be planned for tonight, with bridges and critical infrastructure at risk. Please pray for God’s protection over Kyiv and the people of Ukraine and specifically over Sergey and Vika as their train travels from Poland back into Ukraine.

On their way out, their train had to stop and everyone had to get off because of drones and alarms. (As seen in video above) This is the reality they are returning to.

This winter is predicted to be one of the most difficult yet since the war began. Sergey and Vika have asked for our increased support, because with increased attacks comes increased opportunity for the Church to step in to care for people, meet urgent needs, and love others well.

We especially need your help with our Emergency Heating Fund as power grids and energy sources continue to be targeted. When families lose electricity and heat in the middle of a Ukrainian winter, these resources can become lifesaving.

As difficult as things may feel here at home, may we never lose sight of the reality that life is far, far harder for so many people around the world.

Thank you for praying. Thank you for giving sacrificially. Thank you for continuing to stand with Ukraine and showing the love of Jesus to people in their greatest time of need. ❤️🇺🇦

Please pray tonight for protection, provision, peace - and for the Church in Ukraine to shine...GLOW... in the darkness. #goloveotherswell GLOWMission.org

Today, a truckload of firewood arrived at the home of one of the widows we care for.

She came outside, stood there looking at it for a long moment, and then quietly said to me:

“Just yesterday, I was thinking about how I could die so I wouldn’t have to face the cold this winter. But today… I want to live.”

When I heard those words, I wanted to cry. My heart simply broke in that moment.

For some people, it may look like nothing more than firewood. But for her, it means warmth. It means facing winter without fear. It means knowing she has not been forgotten, that she is not alone, and that God sees her pain and still sends hope.

Sometimes God’s love doesn’t come through big words. Sometimes it simply arrives at someone’s home in the form of a truck full of firewood.

Thank you, Gustav, for your heart and for making this possible. And thank you to everyone who supports GLOW Mission and our ministry to widows and elderly people living alone.

You are not only helping to warm homes.
You are helping to restore hope and, sometimes, even the desire to live.

May God richly bless each one of you. ❤️🙏
