This year has been quite a whirlwind... Relationships ended and began. Jobs I relied on were lost. New career opportunities presented themselves. Moved yet again. Experienced some of my lowest lows and some of my highest highs... But through it all, I was incredibly lucky to have @theatricalcombatnyc and Action Hero Academy as the one constant in my life. Being able to teach what I love every week kept me grounded through uncertainty and allowed me to feel joy when I needed it most. So, thank you to @saga_action_arts for collaborating on The Action Hero Academy with me. Thank you to @mstda_ri for giving us a home to teach classes. And thank you to all the incredibly talented Action Heroes who have trained with us! You have all kept me grounded, sane, and hopeful as I navigate the glorious chaos of life. ⚔️🧡👊

SLASHER TRAINING at the last Knife Night of the spooky season! New students dropped in and learned the basic techniques of this curriculum block, including evasions, passes, checks, transports, and lots of stabbing and slashing moves! The perfect training for any aspiring psycho killer (Qu'est-ce que c'est?) We had a great mix of first time and returning students this session, so we figured we would make a highlight reel of the new blood at play! We'll have more clips from this class to share soon, including a couple of fighty things featuring our advanced students. ;) Thank you everyone for showing up and putting in the work! Now just make sure to avoid that creep in the mask if you see him. We're not sure who he is, but... HE'S RIGHT BEHIND ME ISN'T HE?

Just one more night of SAGA Tuesday Knife Class this week! We'll be announcing our November curriculum soon. While this isn't the LAST class, we wanted to get this group shot because this was a BIG class of very talented performers! Felt kind of like a milestone for us at SAGA and Action Hero Academy! Not everyone who's come to every class is in this photo, but the Tuesday Knife sessions have been really special for us, as this series has been our first individual SAGA-specific intensive focused on just one aspect of our broad and comprehensive curriculum. The results (hopefully!) speak for themselves (of course we should ask the students what they think ;) ), and we couldn't be more grateful for all the students who have jumped in to sharpen their skills over the last 7 weeks! Wanna check it out before it's over? Our curriculum stacks, so beginners are welcome to try and class! Feel free to register for a drop in to join the last Knife Class of the season, or purchase a class pack from the link in the bio if you'd like to join us for our next series of classes!

About 24 years ago, she annoyed me by tickling my feet letting me know, with her competitive spirit, that I was swimming too slowly.. I remember the days when I hoped she wouldn't come to the training... But when she didn't, it was boring, because my competitive spirit had no one to fight with. I soon realized that in her, I have a friend for life. She shaped me in so many ways. She was one of the first to tell me that photos should not be processed in such an outdated way, when I thought it was cool to leave something gray and something in color :) By chasing her acting dreams and never letting them go, she gave me the wind at my back and the necessary motivation to pursue mine. I love you my dear friend and no matter what Americans say, I see you as in this photo- gentle and mild.. I am happy you stood in front of my lens. #portraitphotography #portraitofwoman #portraits #womanface #womanbeauty #womanbody #postpartum #mom #momsofinstagram #scar #cesareansection #cesarionsection #actor #actorlife #acting #friend #synchronizedswimmer #momoftwo
